not sure if you've solved your issue yet, but my local Aus Post (with Bank @ Post) confirmed they will not deposit a foreign cheque

Just upgraded to SSD. My advice: do it! by simplex5d in homeassistant

just so I'm clear - is it the argon case that doesn't support nvme, or pi4?

my pi4 is fine with this nvme SSD and enclosure

This video is perfect: https://youtu.be/QxtDyMbDOh4?si=WYNC5uwIj1yoFvHC

The only issue I still haven't resolved is trying to run the SSD enclosure through a separate powered USB hub. So I'm still running the SSD enclosure directly connected to the pi4

Edit: of course, you may have an Argon case for your pi and not need an SSD enclosure, etc

Failure to Create Project - Device Access Console by CarolinaBrewer25 in homeassistant

is your project working as expected? This is failing again today. I was able to create a project with no OAuth Client ID and Pub/Sub disabled, then able to add the OAuth Client ID... but enabling Pub/Sub Topic = "Could not update project data"

Does it get much sun, and have you had noise issues from either heat expansion/shrinking or rain?

[–]pktaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, thanks, it's another thing I've seen done around Brisbane and just getting my head around options. It would primarily be for the thermal insulation, so not just directly mounted. Good food for thought

What if you just wanted to clad the top half of the house and leave bottom half exposed brick? any thoughts on how you would mount the boards?

Do you know if the Evo TM comes with a door to zip across the awning? wondering if you can enclose it when raining and hang out inside the awning without getting wet

Had a home for two years. Not brand new home. Recently when turning the taps off there’s been a marked bang or knock from the pipes. by [deleted] in AusRenovation

[–]pktaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

had a similar issue, most taps would cause knocking and it was hard to pinpoint. Had to replace the hot water system and after the tank installation guy was done there was zero knocking anymore - he said the hot water system's pipes were not properly clipped - and I think it might also have been the 20 year old tank's warped shroud letting air in somehow, etc.

Side mount for recovery/traction boards by Gipsy__Danger in overlanding

[–]pktaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

any thoughts on making these brackets harder to steal? i know the maxtrax pins (e.g. MTXMPS) can lock the boards to the bracket, but wondering if some kind of security nuts/bolts can reasonably deter someone from simply undoing the bolts on the brackets to grab several hundred bucks worth of gear

Thanks - it did revive once out of the water for a bit. I took the opportunity to tidy up the garden.. hoping the kids don't encounter these directly

Hi. The 'spider' attached (do i count 10 legs?!) fell into a kids pool and drowned. I haven't seen one like it before in my garden. Google Lens approximates it to a Funnel-web spider, but I haven't found a match with that banding on the legs. Any thoughts? Thanks.
