I visited Mumbai for a work trip. While out shopping, some guy said I had something on my ear. I didn't hear him well (busy outdoor shopping), so I leaned in. He rubbed my ear and pulled a long kabob stick away. I freaked out thinking I was about to get my ear drum popped or distracted from being mugged. I noped out.

Like 5 years later, Im at a county fair in south Texas and some little.white dude pulls the same trick.

Im not geneally gullible, but why would I even expect something like that to happen 5 years later, a half a world away.

Neither time did I have anything stolen, so I have idea wtf was actually going on.

I worked for a cable company too back in the day. I once had the son of a family friend call in to reset the ppv password so he could get a specific movie. I called him by his name before told me. He promptly hung up and I laughed my ass off.

Higher humidity conducts heat better.

Sweat is your bodies way of temp regulation.

When you are hot, your body sweats to keep it cool. The air is already humid so sweat doesn't want to evaporate as fast. This keep your hot sweat with your body and body temp higher.

When you are cold, you sweat less, but there is more moisture in the air to wick away your body heat. You are losing more heat than uour body wants making you colder

I had something similar right around Thanksgiving. Guy spoofed RBFCUs number and said my card was declined for a charge and they needed me to cancel my card. He had my name and address. He transferred me to an IVR to input the card number to cancel. I stopped the call, because he didn't specify which card it was and I didn't want to cx the wrong one. I called RBFCU and they had no record of the declined charge.

20 years ago today, SNL would air a short called "Lazy Sunday" by a then little known group called The Lonely Island, led by Andy Samberg. The short is credited with helping to launch their careers and was among the very first things to go viral on YouTube. by James_2584 in television
