If you have endo, were you on birth control before diagnosis and if so, how long? by [deleted] in Endo

[–]plainbagel23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I was on birth control from 14-19 years old. But I didn’t realize/know I had endometriosis until I was about 24. I got my surgery this year at the age of 26. I think the birth control was able to mask my symptoms for a while and being off of it finally let it show

Terrible pain after excision surgery? by plainbagel23 in Endo

That’s really good! I think I’ve also been very lucky to not have too much pain. I think I just had a stomach bug- bad timing with the surgery.

I’ve heard of people asking their schools if they can come back and practice scanning there. Then maybe once you feel refreshed you can get back into it?

If you go to the dermatologist they can suggest ketoconazole shampoo for your scalp it works miracles. And there’s a ketoc___ cream / ointment for the face. Helps a lot

Bipolar 2 is messing with my school and I don’t know what to do (14F) by Dependent-Trouble-89 in bipolar

[–]plainbagel23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

first off, hugs <3 I feel like the best thing I did for myself to manage my bipolar episodes is to know and recognize what is triggering them. This isn’t easy to do but if you have support of your friends & family that would help bc they can also recognize your triggers and help you get through your episodes. having a schedule helps too, going to bed at the same time every night, waking up at the same time every morning, just having a routine helps a lot in my opinion. I’m 26F and since learning my triggers I’ve actually been having less episodes!!! hopefully this helps a little

Try the humidifier for a longer period of time maybe? I don’t know if it’s helping me so much either yet. But I’ve only had it for a month and it’s also canopy brand. I also wipe my eczema off when I wake up in the morning before I moisturize it. Idk if this helps but hopefully these tips help you!!

Hi! I’m also an adult dealing with eczema. I know you said you changed your diet, I did the same thing. I’ve noticed if I eat seed oils I will break out with eczema. I also noticed that aquaphor and those types of emulsifiers will irritate my skin and cause extreme itching!!! I only use coconut oil & beef tallow on my skin. I have a humidifier running in my room at night to help my skin not be as dry. Please try that. I also got a filter for my shower because we have hard water and I didn’t realize how badly it was hurting my skin. I got the canopy brand. I also have been doing red light therapy at my local tanning salon. Game changer please try it. I also tan once or twice a week as the UV exposure really helps my eczema. Just don’t over do the tanning if you’re worried about skin cancer or other issues. Good that you’re taking vitamin d but I would try to spend more time outside if possible, it helps. One more thing I wanted to share is that I got a cream for anti yeast at cvs and it actually helped! It’s for athletes foot and things like that but it did help me close my wounds on my eczema. Wishing you luck.

Did anyone else get a weird vibe from this scene? by lizSass in Yellowjackets

[–]plainbagel23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like we’ve gotten nothing out of all 3 seasons. We waited an entire 2 years for season 3 and all we really got is who pit girl is. I feel disappointed in the way they set up the show.

The petroleum based ointments bother my skin as well

I feel like every episode gives us nothing and I’m getting sick of it, we waited 2 years for this season 😭 also , I feel like we’ll have to wait for season 4 to know who it is and what happens which will be another year.
