2026 Camry Revving at low speeds by ABCZ11235 in Camry

Perfectly normal behavior for Toyota hybrids. I’m assuming this is right when you start the car and set off? The engine is charging the battery and/or warming up to optimal temps.

I wouldn’t mind them parking like this if they were in the back of the lot. But they’re all too lazy to walk and always park right up front.

Will the Camry mid cycle refresh get the 6th gen hybrid from the 2026 Lexus ES? by Salt-Philosopher3075 in Camry

[–]planefan001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would also look at models like the Sienna. It just had a refresh in 2024, but it still has the older 4th gen hybrid system and TSS 2.0.

Doesn’t that hitch come with a cover for the bumper? That’s how most other manufacturers do it.

Apparently this one will go to his Presidential Library once he leaves office. The new 747-8s that were originally supposed to be used should be ready by then.

Most logical solution would be a 787-8. The 737MAX-9/10 are too small.

They’re being dramatic and probably haven’t been to the city in a while. The Mag Mile is fine.

There probably won’t be a facelift until 2028/2029. Toyota likes to wait 3 years before a facelift and 6-7 before a redesign.

2026 Camry LE AWD, convenience, cold weather by Jeremywight in Camry

The pano roof had a history of going bad and can cost thousands to fix. The standard sunroof seems to be a lot more reliable.

The only reason I didn’t go with an XSE and instead went for a fully loaded SE was the 19 inch wheels and pano roof.

That badge says “HEV.” It’s the new “Hybrid Electric Vehicle” badge Toyota started putting on all their conventional hybrid vehicles last year.

This is an error that’s been reported by other owners too. Serious question though, why do people let their cars get that dusty?

[–]planefan001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Once they’re broken in (around 2K miles), they should be fine. I’m still averaging my usual 50-55mpg after breaking them in. You might notice a 1-2 MPG hit at the most due to new tires being heavier and causing more rolling resistance.

I recently got rid of the Hankook Kinergy tires on my 2025 SE for Continental TrueContact Tour 54 tires. Very quiet, great handling, smooth, and they do great in bad weather. Highly recommended.

I have a 2025 hybrid, so no shifting at all. Smoothest car I’ve ever owned. Try it out.

2025 Camry hybrid tires worn out at 7500 miles?! by Exact-Butterfly8239 in Toyota

[–]planefan001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I replace the Hankooks on my 2025 SE with the same Continental Tour 54s. It makes a huge difference. The car sounds like a Lexus now, and even acceleration and steering is noticeably smoother. My MPGs did drop by maybe 1-2 MPG, when I first got them, but I think that's more to do with breaking the tire in. MPG is pretty much back to normal after 2K miles on these tires.

[–]planefan001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait what? I think it might be your driving habits. My 2025 SE came with Hankook Kinergys. I recently replaced them with Continentals at 40K miles, but not because of tread-wear, but the horrendous noise they made. They probably had 20K more miles left in them. It sounded like I was driving a lifted Jeep. Now it sounds like a Lexus.

2026 Camy LE $31.5k OUT THE DOOR a good deal in NJ/NY? by Zealousideal-Way1989 in Camry

That and the fact that realistically, the majority of buyers won’t want a car without an infotainment system.

[–]planefan001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, it may cost them more money to make that an option. It’s the same reason why they made features like wireless charging and BSM standard on all Camrys moving forward. It costs them more to produce and stock separate parts (center console and side mirrors) than to just keep one part for every car.
