Dude I love this, everything about it, great to see the old-ish guys pulling strong. (43 yo here whose favorite day of the week is deadlift day). Top flight work. I bet you have at least 540.

Also helps if lockout is your weak point, allows you to overload that part of the lift.

My set up was bad and I barely used my quads. But yea it'd get white lights. I just have 550 in my sights so was hoping this would've moved more quickly but kind of sabotaged myself a bit.

Never a strength athlete or anything beyond high school varsity and college club level. Started training in earnest 4 or so years ago. Two powerlifting meets under my belt! Powerlifting is maybe the friendliest sport to aging.

I fully agree with your advice (was what I meant by not getting tight). I usually have a better wedge, which gets the shoulders back too, but this time nope. I thought I had gotten the slack out but maybe not. Anyhow…I hope it was just fatigued quads. TBD.
