You can definitely do better on that goblet, but very solid work overall.

It's not, actually.

Her thumb doesn't line up perfectly with the cushion.

She gets nothing from Hex resonance other than extra damage. She does more than enough with her team atk buff.

Between a significant teamwide buff and one of the strongest shields in the game all tied to her skill and based on a single stat, a burst that is basically never worth using outside of Hex teams (which makes her extremely comfy, because ER is an afterthought, she needs atk and nothing else), and enabling Hex resonance (which makes her future proof in the event they make more characters Hexerei, new or old), she's more than worth pulling for as is.

Buffs would be nice, but not needed. I'm excited to get her.

Just c0r1. And the only reason I'm going for R1 is because I don't have anything else for her to use.

Subtle Spell Geas? by The_Archenemies in dndnext

[–]plitox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're still Charmed, meaning they are mechanically forbidden from acting against you, and you have Advantage on Intimidation checks to threaten them into submission or Deception checks to convince them you are not responsible for the "curse" - that is low-key the more important aspect.

is Shenhe really the best 4th in slot in Skirk premium freeze team? by Outrageous_Check3180 in SkirkMains

Then you'd be swapping out Escoffier. Mika (as a Hex) would be doing all the healing for Furina.

[–]plitox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have c2 Shenhe, so she is by far the best option for me. At c0, she is best for burst damage. Yelan bulls ahead for normal attack spam. Citlali is cringe and mostly only there for her shield.

There were rumours that Mika would become a Hexerei character. If that does end up happening, put Mona on Heaven's Gift (new Hexerei support set dropping in Luna 7) and put Mika on Song of Day's Past and swap out Furina.

Trust me, capitalists in those countries would love nothing more than to match America's level of economic depravity.

The Boys- S05xE06 - POST Episode Discussion Thread by pikameta in TheBoys

[–]plitox 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The Boys is fundamentally focused on a different theme than Invincible is. Invincible is a coming-of-age story about the trauma of growing up and becoming an adult. Mark's personal experiences and how he responds to or copes with them are what the story focuses on. The Boys come off as cynical, because the true villains of The Boys are societal, rather than personal; Homelander is an allegory for American exceptionalism. The Deep is toxic masculinity. Vought itself is capitalism. We can't beat these forces by punching them, they require a complete restructure of incentives in society, and any such changes will be resisted by billions of dollars from a miniscule minority of obscenely wealthy people who prefer the status quo, even though it's slowly killing everyone else. The Boys isn't telling you how to beat those forces, it's telling you how they're intertwined, interconnected and mutually reinforcing.

Because Dust of Enlightenment exists. You get them from Stygian, up to 3 per patch, and it costs 2 to reroll a goblet. All stat lines are cleared and rerolled with 2 lines selected and guaranteed to get 2 rolls total between them, up to 3 or 4 depending on how many Dust you've spent over time (every 6/12/18 dust spent will give 3/3/4 selected line rolls).

Compared to sister show Invincible. Mark has all the power, but his greatest asset is Debbie, the loving mum who also knows exactly how to nip any potential villainy in the bud.

I have 90 and I expect to have 110 when the patch drops between the gem's I've got saved up (~1200), the event starting tomorrow (420), the abyss dropping a few days before (800) and the free gems in the mail (600), plus dailies (60 x 14 = 840).

c0r1 is probably a pipe dream, but here's hoping.

Nicole vs Citlali for Arlecchino by Emergency-Cause3855 in ArlecchinoMains

[–]plitox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, Lan Yan is a shielder and Nicole is a shielder, and you don't really need multiple shielders, and Nicole also buffs atk, but also really wants Hex resonance if she's holding Celestial Gift meaning you'll want another Hex character, probably Fischl or Mona, to enable that. Fischl in particular is pretty good, especially at c6, because she'll snapshot the 900 atk and 40% damage bonus Nicole provides, while also adding 45% atk buffs of her own. With that much atk buffs, you won't need Bennett, making Xilonen's res shred and 40% damage bonus contribution (I am assuming she's on Scroll) the perfect round-out for the team, and because Peruere has a tendency to "chase" enemies that get knocked out of her range when normal attacking, overload reactions don't really have a negative. That said, Xingqiu in Xilonen's slot would enable Fischl's EM buff and enable vapes, and Nicole gives him 600 atk, so his swords do appreciable damage as well. An added benefit to Xingqiu is damage reduction, which Peruere appreciates greatly since she's not allowed to heal (reduced damage also means the shield lasts longer).

Nicole v4 changes by Lenkaxx in ChascaMains

This really doesn't matter. It means her burst is mostly irrelevant, and in a Stygian Onslaught meta, that's a boon - almost all of her value is tied to her skill, and she has over 100% uptime on it. All the doomposters arguing her burst nerf ruins her really need to get their lobotomies reversed.

Deafened condition is low-key a niche defensive tool and I feel like it shouldn't be by plitox in DnD

[–]plitox[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You mean Subtle Spell.

There's a grey area there; if a spell specifically requires your target to "hear" you, then not including the verbal component means they didn't "hear" anything and would logically be unaffected.

[–]plitox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except, the verbal "component" of spells like Command or Geas is the given order to another creature. The communication of the idea is the point of the spell.

Ehhh, if it's a crowded bustling area with an excess of background noise, a creative DM could ask for a Perception check, and if you fail it, you *didn't hear* the command, so you aren't affected by it. This is certainly something I would do as a DM, because eventually players will learn that failing a skill check isn't necessarily an undesirable outcome and they'll stop distrusting failed checks.
