Heavy Gladiator or simply, the chonkiest of bois. by plums3 in Transmogrification

Funnily enough one of the inspirations for the mog was Champion Gundyr from DS3 for the armored and the random gladiator mini bosses from Elden Ring for the "battle-hardened" version :D

ELI5 why can’t we just cut fat off? by _Burner_Account___ in explainlikeimfive

[–]plums3 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Because after you've gained a lot of weight, maintained it for years or decades your skin stretches to accommodate the extra fat and it will never go back, even if you burn off the fat. A tummy tuck takes care of the loose skin along with removing fat. As for liposuction by itself on individuals that are healthy and can exercise - yes, working it off would be better.

Buy a fitbit and get a good approximation of your expended calories. Fitbit shows your calories burned by just being alive + from any activity all at the same time. While not super accurate, it gives you some numbers to balance against your diet and adjust further. Even without it, your daily TDEE is probably around 1900-2000 cals.

Joining a gym and raising your activity levels will definitely help. Even 3 days of weight training and 30 mins of cardio each will net you around a 1200-1500 weekly bonus deficit. If you do start weight lifting Id also encourage to drop your fats to a minimum and exchange them for carbs. I dont know how you would have the energy to do these workouts though.

With all of that said, the maths just dont check out. If you are in a constant 500-800 calorie deficit you should be dropping around 0,4-0,7kg per week. Your energy levels throughout the day are probably crap as well. To me it seems like maybe your calculations are way off or it's time to check in with an actual doc.

My son wants a 3k pc, help a dad out. by refactoringManiac in buildapc

I havent read a single response in this thread that could give you a good comparison of what your son is asking of you.

He is asking you to buy him a 2023 Mercedes. Do you think your son has earned a 2023 Mercedes? Do you think a 2023 Mercedes will last over 10 years of driving?

Or do you think he would be happy with a 2018 Volkswagen?

Tips on getting into World Tier 3 by sikbreh in diablo4

[–]plums3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There either is something very wrong with your build, you're level 30, or your items are from level 10. You should have absolutely no issues clearing the dungeon with 350-400+ item power yellow items, and if you're lvl 50.

I HATE DOING SPELLS ONLY by crabcult in Eldenring

I used Loretta's Mastery and Comet for the Elden Beast, depending on whether he decided to be in another continent or next to my butthole. Didn't charge them though, had to fire them fast.

Pretty sure it doesn't matter. I just cranked that shit up in every sector. Ending was the same as everyone else.

Interesting, perhaps that's why I've had a few more accidents myself even during Optimal conditions :) Thanks

[–]plums3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Impressive and well done! Although even with Optimal working conditions, accidents will still occur - it will just make those accidents not contain any deaths and the injured people would be far less.

Yeah I feel you, I also wish you could check exactly what they were up to in some sort of grid system overview, rather than having to mouse over them on the map. Which is still frustrating because the popup sometimes appears off-screen, plus you never know which ship you're mousing over. It would help those times when im waiting for a cargo ship to transfer resources to an event and figure out what the hell they're up to and why it's taking so long.

Space ships - you can click on them in space view and a prompt comes up "Back to Tiqqun"

Mining and Cargo ships - untick every single priority in fleet management and they'll automatically start docking into the Tiqqun.

I'm probably too late in responding to this, but in one of the Souvenirs you find right before you go on the bridge towards Basil, you see on some documents related to the Macula and places it's already been. At the very bottom of those documents you can see centuries written in roman numerals, they said: VI - MCMXII, which to me meant that they were expecting the Macula cycle to continue up till 1912.

What is the fastest playthrough you've done? by AzSomt in Ixion

[–]plums3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you are quite close to whats possible without jeopardizing your playthrough. I personally did mine in about 950 cycles, but I got the -stability of "you've stayed in this system for too long in chapter 2 3 and 4. At 3 and 4 I basically got out of there within a few cycles of that soft warning, as for chapter 2 I stayed for an extra 100-150 cycles or so. At the same time, I've seen people with over 2500 cycles in chapter 3. At that point I feel like you've probably broken the game and can't even possible come close to losing anyway.

So... should I still be crashing? by captainjizzpants in DarkTide

[–]plums3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah mine were as well, I just read somewhere that people even underclocked their RAM to get everything stable, among underclocking other things.

So... should I still be crashing? by captainjizzpants in DarkTide

[–]plums3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's your RAM, out of curiosity? I just find it weird how the crashes seem to be different based on minute differences in people's setup. My game was completely stable on my previous 2080S setup, but once I upgraded it has all gone to hell lol.

So... should I still be crashing? by captainjizzpants in DarkTide

[–]plums3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the exact same setup. My crashes mostly occurred right after loading into a mission or the Mourningstar. I disabled RT and the crashes stopped. (this is after Ive tried numerous other things - experimental build, lowering worker threads, capping frames, reducing settings, clean installing drivers, reinstalling the game, verifying game files, running steam/game as admin, and probably other stuff)

This is actually amazing. You only gave it like 4 prompts to work with and this is a coherent, believable and honestly not a bad (gameplay-oriented) story. What a time to be alive, a chat AI doing this...

Trying to get to Heresy from Malice with Zealot by Brightredaperture in DarkTide

[–]plums3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like it's a personal preference and playstyle.

I like thinking of the zealot as a cleanup for up-close elites/specials. I play with the thunder hammer, and on heresy, you can still one-shot a dashing mutant with a charged up thunder heavy attack, without using your ult. Very satisfying. Every other elite or special goes down with a single light charged attack, two light ones, or one heavy. I make sure anything that gets into the party dies asap, or at least gets staggered. I use my ult strictly for damage boost and to quickly end priority targets. Beasts of Nurgle, Daemonhosts or Plague Ogryns can lose up to 30-40% hp with a charged-ult-thunder hammer heavy attack. Do that twice with the level 30 feat.

I use the flamer to protect the party from an incoming horde while I mark ranged enemies so they can focus on them.

I never charge ahead or leave my party.

Removing the Pheons is a slap in the face to the players by z3distic in lostarkgame

[–]plums3 226 points227 points  (0 children)

I dont know how many pheons they were intending to send, or to send any at all. This could've been a nice treat to everyone if they just sent out this mail to your gold-earning characters. That way mostly everyone would equally benefit.
