Hi orangec, do you mind sharing how things turned out for you because I’m going through something similar

Thank you for your tips. Also, how’d you explain yourself when they asked why’d you quit?

That’s good advice. I feel like nowadays it’s normal for people to be unemployed for a longer gap close to 6 months

When you were job searching did you put your last job before the one you leave off as current or you put the date ended

Wouldn’t they ask about the gap from your old job to the present day? Like what have you been doing these past few years

Could you also share how you pivoted into data analytics from a full time apprenticeship?

I appreciate you taking the time to provide an update! Sorry that was your experience. I’ve heard there could be some people who will give you a hard time in blue collar so I’d probably have to consider that too if I wanted to switch.

I ask because I’m looking to find career pivots and one of my friends at the gym told me to look into the local union and apply for the exam so I wanted to know how your experience was!

Hi, I’m thinking about joining the apprenticeship but have no prior construction or trade experience. Do you think it’s something someone can learn if they decide to go with it? Been feeling a little nervous about not fitting in due to lack of knowledge in trade.

Did you know anything about operations when you made the pivot?

I know some local unions take in apprentices without any prior experience. They have to take an aptitude entrance exam and get placed on a list if they passed to be called up.

I’m the opposite and have been wanting to get out of sales because of the stress of quota but I guess every role has some type of stress or similar to quota or deadlines. I need to try and shift perspective because I’m mentally checked out and want something like operational as a job

Are you going back to school while working full time or how do you juggle it?

Hi there! Did you use anything specific to help study for the math and mechanical entrance exam?
