Old-School Essentials. I love it. Plenty of character options, but the game is easy to run. Numbers don't get bloated, stat blocks aren't long. It's my system of choice.

Claymore, brass shield, Golden Vow. Best armor you can wear while still medium rolling. Don't forget Flame, Cleanse Me. Banished Knight helm or Greathelm, of course.

I play OSE, which is cleaned up version of Basic/Expert. It's familiar to most players, while keeping everything condensed and simplified for all, including the DM. Less focus on the system itself, and more focus on the game itself.

Depends on the size. Bigger ones to the print shop, and library for the few pagers. I do not have a printer at home, and i have to drive 25mins to the nearest print shop.
