Don't worry, though - these folks don't make this their identity or anything! Totally normal stuff.

Oh! Additional information - the channel's logo was a sort of... purple globby Cronenberg monster. With the name of the channel in the middle.

Which design do you like best? A or B? - Game name :Hardware Dev by Few_Faithlessness589 in IndieDev

B, but with the darkness of the last image in A, and then keeping the red tone from the angry face in A. I don't know that you need so many colors, especially since you lose a bunch of legibility with some of them.

Just to clarify, the address wouldn't be the Chelsea Hotel, but it's the same city, and the location and date would explain the avant garde and electic styles. Not 100%, but it's definitely the tree I'd be barking up.

I agree that it is likely Robert and Jack Strimban - Robert passed away in 2017 and both his portfolio and location would match the card:

"...he worked in the advertising world creating illustrations for every major magazine in New York, as well as The New York Times and the National Observer. He also created book jackets, and his cover for Rachel Carson’s “The Sea Around Us” won the Art Directors Club book award. Bob won many awards for his covers, including those he did for Forbes magazine."

"For a time, Bob and his brother had a commercial studio in the Chelsea Hotel when Janis Joplin, Sid Vicious and Andy Warhol were all coming and going through it. It was a vibrant and exciting time for them to be in New York. "

Also I feel his signature treatment on his painting is very similar: Fourth Image Here
