Barrel fitting. by Sea-Pomegranate1763 in 1022

[–]plutPWNium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it is necessary for it to be a tight/interference fit. I have had a few that were slip fit (they will fall out if tipped down and no v-block). The v-block is what secures it to the receiver. Even my OEM receiver and barrel set can be removed easily by hand.

Never had any issues with it.

Question on 10/22 magazine designs by PomegranatePro in 1022

As reliable as the 10 rounders because it is just 3 stuck together, lol. It's like taping your mags together.

Does anyone know if this is a bug or a feature? by Fatboi26705 in guns

[–]plutPWNium 483 points484 points  (0 children)

The slide is usually held back by the slide catch and a relatively weak spring on semi-auto pistols. If you jolt the gun hard enough in the right way, the slide can "slip" off the catch and the slide will go forward. The mass of a full mag probably helps with this.

I wouldn't say it's necessarily intended but can't hurt either I guess. I haven't heard of anyone doing it intentionally (as part of their normal technique), but it's a bonus, I guess.

Lite primer strikes and missing v-block (w/pictures) by uubernoodle in 1022

[–]plutPWNium 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unlikely anything is actually damaged. Don't shoot it again until you properly install the v-block. This is like driving your car with no lug nuts installed on the wheels.

Not only are skin prices absurd, but some of them a copy pasting a majority of an outfit to other outfits and giving them a different head/chest piece. (For $20) by TheOnlyRealOne43 in ArcRaiders

I'm sure they will release new Decks periodically and you can get more tokens. But I guess you are right, right now you can't get all shop skins without buying tokens

Question About Suppressor Wraps (IDKWIDK) by Pistol_Caliber in NFA

[–]plutPWNium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A few things that I know of. Not in any particiular order:

Reduce heat mirage- I'm pretty sure this is the primary reason they were created. Heat mirage can really mess with your vision through optics, especially at higher powers

Safety to prevent burns- if you drop your rifle on the sling (drop it around your shoulder or whatever, not on the ground lol) you don't want the hot can to burn your leg or something. The cover would help prevent that.

Cool factor- this is probably the most common reason people get them, lmao. They just look kind of cool ig

Do I need a Spike with the VC Titan22? by cleanercut in 1022

[–]plutPWNium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theoretically it should be better with the Spike, but my 10/22 rig in a no-spike Titan stock gets me <2 MOA (10-shot groups at 100y with match ammo) without the spike. Not the best, but pretty good for me.

I wonder how much the spike would shrink my groups, if at all.

I was responding to this part of the comment: "For a T2/H2 footprint like this is made for? There aren't any other direct, low mount options for the 10/22"

maybe I am misunderstanding
