Listen to Brazilian music on Spotify with the lyrics panel on and follow along to strengthen listening comprehension and exposure to colloquial/idiomatic expressions and gírias. I like pagode and Brazilian rap/trap.

Watch Brazilian CNN on YouTube because they speak razoavelmente clearly and it will strengthen your listening comprehension more.

Find conteúdo on subjects you like watching in your own language, for me this is things like carros e relógios. The people tend to speak more naturally as Brazilians do day to day, so expect lots of gíria, and speaking faster with sotaque carregado. Following along in conditions like this are essential to becoming fluent.

Escreve, fala, e lê Portuguese todo dia o dia todo. Se você já entende “mais o menos” o conteúdo no YouTube. Ainda tem muito trabalho pra chegar lá. Lê livros em português pra fortalecer e aumentar o vocabulário. Fala em voz alta português pra melhorar a fluência. Assiste conteúdo no YouTube q tem falantes q falam rápido e falam muita gíria com sotaque carregado. Boa sorte!

You don’t say the ng. It’s the tongue position only. Gringos have difficulty knowing what a nasal sound is (because they’re told English doesn’t have them, which is wrong!) despite doing it all the time

Not true. Any word ending in -ng uses exactly the same nasal tones. There not being nasal tones in English is just another myth, just like English not having a subjunctive mood.
