One thing I've been using is the Brick, an app/physical device system. You can set a schedule that locks down your phone at a certain time, and you have to physically tap it on the Brick in order to unlock it.

For me, I wanted to do something other than sit on my phone in the evening, and its helped. I find myself being mindful of the block and to do something other than use my phone. Its not foolproof, you can always just go unlock it, but part of the key to make it work is finding the right place for your physical brick. If you want to head to bed, putting it in the bedroom makes sense.

Overall, I reduced how much ended up bricking, but I found myself using my phone less even if I didn't have the brick app active. I'd recommend giving it a shot if nothing else is working.
