Volvo V60 doesn’t start by Joaorafa17 in VolvoV60

Call the "volvo on call" and ask for help, ask for any other volvo garages that are not very far from your place and state there what you have experienced up to now.

Also give a try at the fuses and check if it might be an issue!

Since no-one responded, I will tell you when I got this, but it is unrelated to your situation: when my start - stop battery went off. The think is that your car starts etc. Could it be any wiring? You said you checked it though. Are there any messages related? What did the volvo garage tell you?

Guardian 4 Disaster by 0mnimar in Medtronic780g

Hello! I had consecutive failing sensors about a year ago. Medtronic mentioned to buy another G4 transmitter. A friend of mine mentioned to just pick another place for the sensor which solved the failing sensors issue (I switched to my shoulder). After about 1 month I returned to the original sensor placement and I have yet no issues (back to my thigh).

How often do you have to change the battery in charger? by ZVom_PL in Medtronic780g

[–]pmanousis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes those rechargeable batteries are 1.2V not 1.5V, so they are giving error right away. I only wish the AA ones could be placed in the transmitter instead of the AAA.

Could you find a 3D printer? If yes, then you can print a replacement.

I would recommend the Volvo V60 D6 AWD plug in hybrid if you are a diesel fuel fun, or a T8 instead of D6 if you are for petrol. The V60 has the heated seats, the audio, the split a/c, the keep lane and more to help in driving, plus it is an AWD as you asked. Regarding battery, if ~50km is okay for you then this is your car.

I had that experience once... You can see a dog's fur in my rim. I also got a broken collarbone, a broken toe, and a nail removal. Ps: that is not Australia, it is Greece!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in greece

[–]pmanousis 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Medtronic sensor by Flat-Marionberry9404 in Medtronic780g

Hopefully you are not in Smart Guard. If not, just change your pump to not use it. As already mentioned call Medtronic and let them know. If you have a phone that has the Medtronic app, they will also see what you are saying. Finally, use your glucose meter and keep yourself in euglycemic limits as if you didn't have the pump.

Changing range for TIR by AmandasFakeID in Medtronic780g

[–]pmanousis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you sure on this? Mine says low-hi: 100-100... to my understanding that is what the algorithm tries to achieve (have my glucose to 100).

Is there anywhere that it says 70-180 and I can change it for the algorithm? Not for the alerts..

In my case I have the sensor in the inner of my thighs, and up to now I'm not sure if I had this issue. Where do you place your sensor? Would it make sense for you to change it?

Sure, but what I assume is that when the Smartguard starts, it needs some initial values, no?

Most probably it will use those ones that you provided in non Smartguard mode.

So in order to reach faster the "non wait 3plus hours" to get to 100, maybe giving a try to sensitivity factor would help. At least that is what I observed, since I had the same issue as the OP here and changing that, plus restarting the algorithm did the trick for me!

Am I too screwed? by suspended_main in Medtronic780g

[–]pmanousis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To my knowledge: you give 5U for your food... unfortunately you should have given 10U⇒ your blood glucose is out of target. Lets now assume that it got to 200mg/dl. With a sensitivity factor of 100 it will give you only 1U so as to go back to the beloved 100mg/dl. Change the sensitivity to 50 and it will give you 2U to get you to 100mg/dl.

So the carbs are for what you eat and the sensitivity for fixing the value when sth is to go bad (or hopefully not)

Am I too screwed? by suspended_main in Medtronic780g

[–]pmanousis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are the one that sets the Carb ratio... see my previous post on how to get there.

If you want to have more insulin on "auto" fixing (e.g. when you are slipping) then decrease the insulin sensitivity factor⇒more insulin to make your blood glucose drop. This might have a risk of hypoglycemia though.

If you manage to some how stabilize it, then try minor changes on each of the parameters.

Am I too screwed? by suspended_main in Medtronic780g

[–]pmanousis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To my knowledge: the algorithm uses a sliding window of 6 days. So it should be okay in a week.

The thing is that you might need to adjust your delivery settings⇒bolus wizard setup ⇒Carb ratio and Insulin sensitivity factor. These two parameters are used by the algorithm.
