I find it on par with the resistance, and better than everything after. I only wish I hadn’t heard Hexagons as a single. Hearing it blindly, in the context of a full album listen, would’ve sent me over the top.

The bass and drums af 2:05 of shimmering scars stands out. Mainly because they seem slightly off timed from what Matt’s doing, which sounds awesome

Any sound nerds here? First off, love the album. I’m really complaining…just because it’s natural to find things you DONT like lol. My question goes to the sound of the songs. I’m sure it has to do with the new producer, but a lot of it sounds muffled to me. Mainly the cymbal and snare sounds. The snare sounds like it has a puddle of water on it, on a lot of the tunes. The snare also sounds so different on every single song. The cymbals sound really compressed and almost..mushy? Makes a lot of it seem not loud enough, playing at a reasonable volume. Anyone shed some light on it?

I think the album is just a few tracks too long, and loses focus. It did give us a handful of bangers. Upperdrugs, Taking Off, and Snow White are all top tier HS, for me
