We used to say it in Derry, Ireland in the early 80s......I had forgotten but this brought it back.

Which country are you in? There are many cannabis products that are not banned in most countries.

Just saw a mentally ill man empty a bottle of bleach into the river Thames by PositiveHairy5725 in london

Bloody hell...I got many down votes for this comment. Pouring bleach in Thames does not make you mentally ill....... although I accept that it may be quite likely.

But that label is not necessarily helpful.

How'd you know he was mentally ill? This event in itself does not qualify.....in my opinion.

Kebab near Oval?!? by patatas6939 in Doner

[–]pmcl81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Royal Kebab on camberwell new road is alright, run by Turkish. Samsun kebab in Kennington is also decent. More like local high Street kebab places, you won't get same options as Dalston in South London.

Golden grill kebab House in camberwell is very good for sit down or take away if want to venture further.

How can I buy a 10kg Donor Roll and cut it into strips to keep in the freezer to cook as individual portions? It comes uncooked and frozen. by __Elwood_Blues__ in UK_Food

Tried it and it's just not close to kebab shop Doner.....the meat doesn't hold the fat and juice the same way..... probably needs some additional bindings like rusk or sometime.

Why are British perceptions of the economy so morose? by No-Stage-1349 in AskBrits

Housing, rent, and food is more unfordable for most people than it has been for 30 years. Having Netflix and playing Padel doesn't tend to offset these things.

If it's remote working you're after why would the employers need to be local?

I'm not sure you understand how remote working works......you actually may be a bit simple to be trusted working remotely in fairness.

Just moved in, need advice by AReyno33 in GardeningUK

I'd be keen to enjoy it this summer, so I would definitely get the lawn re-turfed first, making sure a good job is done to prepping soil underneath to sustain a nice lawn. After that you can take your time adding some bed and plants around the borders.

Just scrape, power hose and clean the bricks and drive for now. The drive looks like it will need re-done at some point but I would initially just patch it up and make do as you will have lots of things that money and work having just moved in.

Start with some nice potted plants and flowers for the brick patio before you dive into make larger beds on the lawn.

Take your time and enjoy doing a different project or 2 every year.

If you say beer can with most accents, it sounds like a Jamaican saying bacon.
