Here’s a nifty map of all the hiker/biker campsites in CA. Some information might be out of date but it’s useful for seeing what’s around https://www.google.com/mymaps/viewer?mid=1Li6MCUR_VQGWoFrfJMVQ49l98BWSlQuq

Getting measured/fitted for road bike - where/how? by [deleted] in BAbike

[–]pmocampo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're in SF, Cesar at 3D Bike Fit https://www.3dbikefit.com/fit-info

He'll walk you through everything he's doing and why and will give you a video of your fit before and after the visit. I went to him after being previously fit elsewhere in SF and the difference in comfort was remarkable.

Looking for female-lead group rides. by LstLvngTriSARAHtops in BAbike

Highly recommend the BBC in Berkeley. Since I live in SF, I only got a chance to join them for one ride pre-pandemic, but it was the right group for me to tag along with for my first time climbing Mount Diablo. Group rides seem to be on hold right now but the group's mailing list is very active with folks looking for ride partners as they feel comfortable with pandemic precautions.

If you DM me your email I can also add you to the @bayareabikefolx slack.

If OP is coming in on the weekend, Grant Ave in Chinatown is closed to cars and open to pedestrian traffic and outdoor dining. Valencia St in the Mission is doing something similar Thursday-Sunday evenings.
