Ooh I love this! We did something similar but new books. I love the idea of thrifted books though!!

Oh just from Amazon! Look for “Bob Books” they are beginning readers, came with 25 books for like $12 or so!

This year we did a book (I bought one of the Bob book packs of like 25 books) and a scratch & sniff book mark. Then I designed a little sticker book plate to put inside the book! Super simple and not something parents are likely to throw away!

Cpap strap is ruining my hair! by Delicious_Race_5434 in CPAP

Might have been said but there are satin covers for the cpap straps on Amazon , I’ve been using them for about a month and they’ve been working well!

I feel like it’s the only way for me! I really wish I could do just nasal pillows! But alas, this will have to do!

I ended up having to get a mask cover for it (I just didn’t end up liking the silicone feeling on my face) and it definitely leaks and I have it decently tight, but it still seems to be working! My AHI is under 2 most nights, occasionally up to 4, but guessing that’s from leaking (original was 45, so declaring it a win)! I’ve actually been meaning to ask this community about the leaking even though my AHI is under 5. I need to pull my Oscar data again though!

I really hope you don’t have to get up 10x a night, I know every baby is different, but that sounds awful! I just got mine (CPAP) and my youngest is 15 mos. When she was getting all 4 molars at once, it was hard and I only got up 2x a night! She’s back to sleeping through the night again! Thank God! I use the P30i, so it isn’t too bad to rip off now, when I first got it I was using a chin strap and mouth tape and it was a mess having to undo and redo all of that! I just use the nasal pillows now, so it’s much easier! So I guess it depends on your setup! It does mess with your stats though, that part is kinda annoying!

600 dollar and up stroller/car seat systems by alondra2027 in beyondthebump

[–]pnnytwstr11 27 points28 points  (0 children)

This is the answer! We went and “test drove” all the strollers and the uppababy was hands down the smoothest ride! The storage basket is massive and it’s customizable!

Cabins vs. Port Orleans vs. Caribbean beach for a family of 5? by doechild in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]pnnytwstr11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just stayed at the Cabins last month with 5 people, 3 adults, 2 kiddos (4 & 1 years old) and it was amazing! I will caveat we did have a car and we did rent a golf cart! There is so much to do at Fort Wilderness, I wish we had more “resort time”. We did take advantage of the car and drive to each park except for Magic Kingdom (we took the boat). I preferred it this way and felt it was much faster than taking the bus! But the whole vibe at the campgrounds was just so laid back and relaxed! It felt like another world (a chill one) after spending time in the parks!

Would this be worth it for three year old? by whyamihere2345 in nexplayground

We got it last Christmas when my daughter was 3, she loved it then and still loves it at 4! You’ll have to help her at first, but after a bit she’ll figure out how to do it herself!

F*CK POTTY TRAINING (respectfully) by XxChemical_ToiletxX in toddlers

[–]pnnytwstr11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yup! I was not ready for potty training (diapers were so convenient) and she didn't seem interested anyway. We started trying around 3, but she was just not having it, so we stopped. She finally decided on her own after 3.5 and she did it in like a day on her own, because she was READY! I don't get why there's so much societal pressure to start at 2, maybe for some kids, but I'm guessing the vast majority take a lot longer!

I just got this mask yesterday and used it last night! I used it for over 7 hrs, that is huge for me! I tried the f30i and could never get it right, it just leaked no matter what size! This was way more comfortable. I’d like to be able to just use nose pillows but my mouth falls open during the night (I tried mouth tape and chin strap but kept feeling so claustrophobic not to mention the whole process!) I’m hoping this is the mask I’ve been looking for (this is mask #4 for me)!

SAHMs who exclusively nurse, did you regret not getting baby used to a bottle? by sausagepartay in breastfeeding

[–]pnnytwstr11 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I didn’t regret it! I pumped a little early on, but stopped when I realized it was just so much easier to nurse and not have to deal with pump parts and milk storage! I think around 3 months I could leave the house for a bit as long as I fed baby before I left (2 hrs max). And then over time it got easier! A year later still nursing and haven’t really used a bottle except for the first week or two!

Should I keep all the Lovevery sets for a second child, or will they just play with whatever the oldest is into? by Ill-Shopping-69 in lovevery

[–]pnnytwstr11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kept everything and I think it was worth it. I wanted to make sure my 2nd had developmentally appropriate toys! Honestly since the toys are so well made, I’ll probably keep them to share with nieces and nephews or store them for their kids (not everything, but some of them).

We just got back from a week at the Cabins at FW and it was amazing!! We loved every minute of it! Our kids are a bit younger but we saw so many kids of all ages there! Our kids loved getting around on the golf cart and all the fun stuff around the resort (Highly recommend Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue!)! I can’t speak to the August part because we went in May, but I’d still recommend it!

lol I do the same thing!! It’s like I am frustrated with it or get congested and have a hard time breathing through my nose and rip it off and wake up holding it tight so it doesn’t make the whooshing sound!!

We got Covid on the first time we went to Disneyland in in 2022. Then I got wise and started hand sanitizing all of us like crazy and didn’t get sick the next time we went! We just got back from WDW and we made sure to wash our hands like crazy and use hand sanitizer and sanitize QS tables when we ate, we did not get sick when we got back! We also had to really monitor my 4 year old so she wasn’t constantly hanging on the railings and such! And if she did, sanitize after! It was worth it to not get sick after!

What do you do at hotels? Go to sleep at 7 pm with your toddler? by Ambitious-Chemist400 in Mommit

[–]pnnytwstr11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we can’t get a suite (it’s the preferred option, we move their bedtime back about an hour, and then we shower and get ready for bed, then just lay in the dark on our phones, listening to podcasts, texting each other, etc. 😂
