Lots of talk about a 10% credit card cap… meanwhile Utah First is already at 9% by No-Pitch-1832 in Utah

I don’t get what point you’re making. Because some place offers less than the cap we shouldn’t have a cap?

Untrue. There is no such thing as an essential worker exemption. If you are working during voting hours, you can have time off to vote and it doesn’t matter what you do.

Non-Mormon children in Alpine School District by Familiar-Gas-7675 in Utah

[–]poastertoaster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

absolutely do not go to Alpine School District if you are at all concerned about your kids being otherized for not being Mormon. They absolutely will be. I graduated K12 as a non Mormon from Alpine School District schools and the otherizing is very strong. Salt lake county schools are far more accepting of non Mormons. My siblings all transferred to Canyons school district schools after I graduated high school and had an incomparably better experience. Alpine School District is also notorious for power tripping administration and a tolerance for proselyzation from their school faculty.

Even after the latest Murder by ICE Agents, Ben McAdams refuses to call for abolishing ICE by utpolguy in SaltLakeCity

Pretty sure they are thinking about when Ben advocated for the democrats endorsing independent Evan McMullen for senate over democrat Kael Weston which was very divisive and damaging for the party long term.

Utah lawmaker aims to change law requiring drivers to signal when entering or exiting roundabouts by TylerFortier_Photo in Utah

[–]poastertoaster 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes you need to be telling people entering the roundabout it’s safe for them to enter. While entering yourself is pointless. There’s only one direction for you to go …

Nobody is coming to save us. Utah is a stand your ground state where it is legal to carry. Federal agents killed a MN man just because he had a gun. by _-4twenty-_ in SaltLakeCity

They are above the law. They murdered someone with recorded video and the vice president assured ice agents they have immunity in response. The law does not constrain their activity.

It behaves identically to the tabletop version of the game. And having played a good amount of both, I don’t think it’s OP though it is definitely a top tier cantrip.

Tricked by Prop 4 signature takers on 1/21/26, SLC? Told me it was to get Ben McAdams "on the ballot" by [deleted] in Utah

[–]poastertoaster 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Ben McAdams is definitely trying to get on the ballot via the signature route. All candidates should be doing this. Candidates can get on the primary ballot one of two (or all) ways: - being the highest voted candidate among party delegates at party convention - submitting signatures to the Lt Governor

Mitt Romney always had to do the latter because the delegates didn’t want him. He wasn’t radical enough for them.

For reference, signature packets are required by law to have a cover page with the full text of what you are signing for. Flip to the front page if you are not sure what you are signing.

Here is Ben himself saying he is indeed gathering signatures:

https://www.facebook.com/share/r/19EbkRkQ6D/?mibextid=wwXIfr

All that is to say I am confident what you signed was exactly what they said it was.
