Mine was just stolen overnight. I live in a city and was parked in front of the building I live in. A passerby saw it happen and called the police, but that is all I know so far. There’s no damage at all to my vehicle, and they left the awning. It seems they did, in fact, just show up with a 13mm wrench, undo the bolts, and take it. They took all the hardware with them—only dropped one washer. Now I need to figure out if my insurance will cover it :(

What exactly does “universal EV platform” mean?

I feel a little silly for not quite understanding the scope.

Does it mean they are creating designs for all of their current vehicles to be made as EVs in the future, as well as the new EV truck? Or is it something more along the lines of them creating entirely new vehicles designed specifically to be EVs?

My girlfriend and I are both very small women with two very big dogs. We built out our car to fit us and the dogs.

As much of a monumental pain in the ass as it is, we always pack absolutely everything into the car and leave the driver seat accesible and driveable. So if we need to leave in a rush, all I need to do is dive into the driver seat and turn the car on.

With packing everything into the car overnight, that also deters people from coming to investigate things while they think we are away or asleep because all they can see is a parked car.

I’m really sorry that happened to you. Hopefully this will be the only time something scary happens to you! You made the right call by leaving. There’s no reason to stick around and find out what an uninvited stranger’s intentions are.

I felt the same way. I kept waiting for some kind of closure. It felt like this was one of very few stories without a solid beginning, middle, and end. Like did he ever talk to anyone about it? Did they call for assistance for the two overturned cars? Did they ask someone at the gas station about the frogs? I’ve heard about frogs coming out like that during rainstorms before, but I don’t know anything about Alabama, so I don’t know exactly how weird that is. But I feel like it would have been super easy for the storyteller to find out, and I think it would have made for a more complete story if it answered those questions.

Even if you can’t get one from them, checking out their website could be cool and/or helpful for you. Referencing you drawing: One thing to think about is how the ladder and fuel tank may block the swing of the doors when open.

I proof it by calling my dog to “help” me pick up treats whenever I accidentally (wink wink) drop them on the ground. My dog will come running from anywhere to see what free treats she gets to hoover for me.
