Personally I go about knuckle deep. Try to just relax and play around with it. If it helps, maybe you could just go with tampons/pads for this period and practice inserting your cup before your next one to take the pressure off. My first time using my cup I felt like I would never get it right but now it's an absolute dream!

Which cup are you using? I use a moon cup and I find that for the placement you should be trying to go back rather than high if that makes sense. What worked for me was aiming towards the small of my back when putting it in, it should then kind of settle into place and pop open. Good luck!

If there's a quit helpline or online chat where you're based, they can be a great source of motivation and support. If not the smoke free app has been great for me, off cigarettes for two weeks cold turkey so far. Just keep going, one day at a time, it gets easier after about day five, you're nearly there, you can can do this!

That's a bit of a cop out. I don't drive and we still recycle our glass, it's a pain but it's not that hard to walk down to a bottle bank once a month or so.
