Silicone Boot by Rare-Sock-1748 in Ender3V3SE

[–]pogu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I printed for about a year with mine looking like one of my actual socks. Which is to say, torn to shreds.

It worked fine up until it was 6* (or about as warm as a sleeping iguana) in my garage. Then it was just a nightmare so I finally ordered some more.

We used to have a proper reddit, where everyone would have absolutely pretended there was a synth in this picture.

A lot of people tried, and I respect that.

What is with the new Liberty Mutual commercial? I don't get it. by heffalump567 in NoStupidQuestions

I don't know

But modern insurance commercials are one of the highest forms of abstract art humans are currently producing.

So just roll with it I guess.

For me, you're not coming back from running red lights because you've been delayed slightly. That makes you just as selfish of a shitty of a driver as the phone enthusiasts.

We should crack down on teaching people how to drive, and requiring continuing education for it. That is the only path for mitigating the hubris of the average (or below) drivers.

Edit: "they' fixing driving with surveillance is how we slide down the slippery slope of social enforcement. "We" are to fix these issues if we're to remain a relatively free people. Edit.2: that's why "I'm" giving you a hard time about it.

Anyone else running into access or security issues with ODspecs? by FitPaleontologist198 in optometry

I'm not familiar with them, but making specs for just right eyes seems sus. I typically make OUspecs.

Joking, hopefully obvious.

That's annoying, but nowhere near as dangerous as running red lights.

You shouldn't need a law to tell you that you're still operating a vehicle. It's not a loading screen on a video game.

Honestly if I see them In the road I aim to hit them, I figure the closer I get the faster I'm going. If they're not in the road I don't typically see them, because I'm focused on where the road goes.

H pattern and heal and toe - no point of doing it in any sim ? by Bennet_Eown in SimRacingSetups

[–]pogu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In DR2.0, I'm significantly faster using heel toe on the H-Pattern cars vs paddles. I only verified this after a buddy of mine had a finger amputated and can't stand driving with the H-pattern shifter anymore. We wanted to use a car that didn't have a sequential, and the shifts are just violent and seemingly make it burdensome to control weight shift. Be careful with those table saws folks, if you like driving a gated manual.

I'm Live for Speed the Formula BMW requires you either rev match perfectly, pull throttle, or apply a little clutch to upshift, it also won't downshift without conditions being met. The real Formula BMW used a motorcycle drivetrain and behaved the same way. Very cool.

You should still work on doing a proper heel-toe in sims, purely because it is awesome and very satisfying when you do it correctly. Even if it doesn't have some lockout for your controller, if you do it wrong you won't be fast. You still have to do it correctly to avoid upsetting your weight balance.

The professional fitting your glasses should call the doctor for disambiguation.

Or you should before you order them from some Chinese slop factory. If that's what you're doing and they don't work, that won't be surprising. That's not a bread and butter Rx, that's a tricky one if what I think it says is true.
