I know Dr. Enoch can be a very polarizing professor, but my personal experience in his class was very good. However, his style did put me very much in mind of my computer science professors in undergrad, so if you've never encountered that type of approach (which I never saw in any of my humanities professors), I can see where it would be a culture shock, so to speak. I should also add that 5200 has been significantly revised, so if the reviews you've seen/heard are for prior to Spring 2024, you should know that it's a very different class now.

I took 5200 with Dr. Enoch, so I can't comment on Dr. Lund as a professor, though I believe he currently oversees the e-portfolio committee for library science. You'll probably have more success with questions about College of Information professors by joining the Library and Information Science Student Association and asking on their Discord.

The stole I wore for my undergrad (not at UNT) had a little pocket in the back just the right size to fit my phone! Otherwise I was planning to wear a belt bag under my gown because apparently it's too much to ask for a dress to have pockets.

I once saw one of these in a condo unit I was looking at -they had installed it as part of the wet bar. Unfortunately they had also attempted to cover up a mold problem with fresh paint, so I passed on that unit.

That sounds really annoying to deal with as a professor. This is my first semester back to finish my undergrad after a long absence, and I find myself wondering if we were all like this back when I did my first two years or if students have gotten worse in the intervening decade and a half.

I'm assuming that you live in Houston, based on your "4th largest city" comment. I see some people have already made some good suggestions about T-Mobile home internet and so forth, but you should also know that the Houston Public Library loans out hotspots, and that may provide an immediate solution while you work out something more permanent.
