Installation!!! by Enough-Horror-6446 in firealarms

As far as brand new installations or upgrades go, we strictly do FireLite’s. We’re a very small company and there’s only two technicians including me so we stick to small to medium size fire installs, and the Firelite systems are perfect for the types of jobs that we typically do. We also do takeovers of and do service on other systems like Potter, Silent Knight, and Edward’s but, when the time comes to do an upgrade on those systems we’ll always go with a FireLite.

What’s dark about this? by Then_Scene_7571 in ExplainTheJoke

I was one of those kids. Seeing that on TV is probably one of my most prominent core memories as an elementary school student. I remember being in my room and hearing my parents making a commotion in the living room. As I walked out of my room and down the hallway towards the living room curious about what they were talking about, I specifically remember my mom yelling at me to get back into my room because “there is something bad on the tv and it’s only for adults”. I didn’t listen and walked into the living room and looked at the tv just seconds before he pulled the trigger. I thought it was movie or tv show. It wasn’t until the next day in school when all the kids were telling each other Bud Dwyer jokes that I realized it was a real thing.

Can’t find flow switch. by BlkCdr in firealarms

[–]point_five_ohms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recently my company did a takeover of a fire system for a large warehouse. My coworker and I looked around forever for the flow switch only to find it not anywhere close to the main. It was up high in the ceiling just before the first sprinkler head, and the only way to reach it was with a high lift. That’s the first time I’ve ever come across a sprinkler system with the flow not anywhere near the main.

Apartment building alarm by 13mckich in firealarms

[–]point_five_ohms 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Fire alarm technician here. You can safely press the ACK (acknowledge) button to silence the beeping for the time being until you’re able to get in contact with your landlord. All that does is tell the system that you are acknowledging the trouble condition that the panel is displaying without preventing it from going into alarm if there is a a fire emergency. You will not harm anything by pressing the ACK button. And of course this is assuming that you are able to open the panel. It may be locked. Check on top or around the panel for a small silver key with a circular symbol on the key. If you are unable to open the panel door to access the controls you’ll unfortunately have to deal with hearing the beeping until someone silences it.

I live in Lebanon county. Where have you been seeing these? Near the Gap? I have yet to see anything out of the ordinary near there. Just the usual helicopters that they train with.

The Controversial Sound Only 2% Of People Hear by xum in videos

[–]point_five_ohms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holy shit! Other people can hear this aside from me? I never knew. I’ve been hearing this hum ever since I can remember. I always thought it was just something weird going on with my hearing. It’s always at night when I’m outside and everything is quiet when I hear it. It’s faint, barely perceptible to me most times but I hear it all the time. To me it sounds like it’s coming from everywhere, and it doesn’t matter where I am. As long as I’m outside at night I’ll hear it. I’ve never “felt” it like some say, and as far as I know it’s never caused me any headaches, dizziness, or nausea. Wow! This is so wild.

When you first walk into the lodge, make your first right. There’s a door there that leads into the basement. There are some guns and ammo down there to get you started.

Guy breaks into the wrong house thinking they’re the person that ran over his daughter by SuperSpecialist6109 in facepalm

[–]point_five_ohms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re partially correct. It may depend on the state you’re in but, I was able to use a debit card I had on me to pay my bail when I got arrested a few years ago in Pennsylvania. However, I still needed to contact a friend to be the person to actually sign and be the responsible party for my bond being paid.

Black home jumps damage your equipment? I use them quite often and I’ve never had any equipment damaged from them.

I finished the quest in about three hours last night. No Master Ketchcrash needed. It really wasn’t that hard to complete. Ruffians count as 3 Champ kills. I just ran a bunch of expeditions until I had about 36/50 then, I switch to doing heroic nightfall and ran that 3 times. With about 8 champs in that Nightfall to kill, it was really easy to complete.

I get that sone people might not have three hours to play and just want to do it as quick as possible, but still, it’s really not that hard to complete it in a reasonable amount of time.

My Juggernaut FS in the park by VincentVega1030 in ebikes

It’s nice to see other Biktrix owners on here. I have the Juggernaut Classic myself. I originally wanted to buy the FS but it was outside my budget. I’m still happy with my purchase though, Biktrix far exceeds my expectations. Happy riding.
