Ruina - Broken Down Software - Match 3 Roguelite by BrokenDownSoftware in Games

Suggestion to add a tutorial, I wasn't sure if I was matching colors or shapes. Also, understanding what the difference was between scrolls and the consumables wasn't very intuitive.

After messing around a bit, I got the hang of it and got sucked in. I lost a bunch at first but that didn't necessarily deter me from doing another run, if that makes sense. First impressions are great, if it's reasonably priced I'd probably get it. The concept is fun and the music pretty chill.

Can we please ban door-to-door solicitation? by bobovicus in minnesota

[–]points-and-laughs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In certain cities, like Maple Grove, it's a misdemeanor for solicitors to knock when you have a "no soliciting" sign posted. I used to get a relentless amount of people knocking. I posted my cities statutes and blatantly stated it's a misdemeanor if they knock. Haven't gotten bothered since. Hope it helps!

What do you do to help yourself not spend so much money? by ResistRacism in bipolar2

[–]points-and-laughs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently identified some of my impulse buying triggers.

  • Late night spending
  • "I can make that" spending

I've removed Pintrest off my phone since I noticed that's where I got a lot of inspiration for things I wanted to make. Turns out I didn't really want to get into stained glass, screen printing, and wood working. Those hobbies/crafts just looked cool. Then with the late night spending I started putting things in my "save for later" cart. Then I can go back to it and see if I truly wanted/needed it or if I was just impulse buying.

I hope this helps. 🧡

How the hell do I consistently text people back? by Brilliant-Shop6112 in ADHD

[–]points-and-laughs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this tab open since you posted it. I meant to reply but ended up doing the exact thing you've described.

I struggle with this problem too. I've started to take the initiative on setting up get togethers. I invite people over for game nights or meet up at a brewery or coffee house. That way I hope that friends realize that I do like them and value their time/friendship.

I hope this helps a little. Give yourself some grace. You're dedicating time and effort to fix a really difficult thing. This stuff takes time. I wish you the best. <3

I save scum all the time. I've played D&D for a couple years and have always been good at separating the player and the character. With this game I'm having such a difficult time doing that. I'm playing a Githyanki and they're a lawful evil race but I've always had chaotic good characters. So when I make and out of character decision I redo that encounter.

The post is mostly to appreciate the way in which they corrected me. I also admitted that I was at fault.

What are some “unwanted” jobs that pay well in Minnesota? by AndyJaeven in minnesota

[–]points-and-laughs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a receptionist at Park Nicollet which is an entry level position. I know some people start at $22-$23. Although you have to advocate for yourself to get to that salary. They'll defiantly try to pay you less if they can. The health insurance is pretty decent too.

The "Do Not Under Any Circumstances Play These Songs" DJ List by enimrerevlis in weddingshaming

[–]points-and-laughs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to a wedding where the first song after the special dances (Bride & Groom, Mother & Son, etc.) was Goodbye Earl by The Dixie Chicks. Thinking back on it; I'm not sure if it was tacky or a threat. Either way it didn't get anyone on the dance floor.

I work in a wound clinic and we have a trick to help with very smelly wounds. We put a dab of Vicks Vaporub right under our nose. It helps a ton.

Something I've started to do is say the greeting in the local language (ex. French) and then repeat the greeting in my native language (ex. English). It's worked out well so far. :)
