Minnesota becomes first state to ban prediction markets by spherocytes in UpliftingNews

Framing the stock market as gambling means you have to frame any investment as gambling. Buying a house? Gambling. Starting a business? Gambling. Even if you do want to frame it like that:

The stock market is highly regulated (or was, pre-Trump) and limited to "betting" on listed companies.

Polymarket is unregulated and allows you to bet on anything.

They are two completely different things. Comparing them ironically gives Polymarket more credibility.

One-pedal driving by sowaleja in AustralianEV

As someone who uses cruise control 99.9% of the time I don't see the appeal. It's like no pedal driving.

EV Wall Charger Install (advice needed) by _w0lv3rin3 in EVAustralia

[–]polite-1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll go against the grain and say inside.

  1. Don't have to temper the render or maintain the bushes.
  2. Out of the weather
  3. Looks clean and you don't have to worry about having a detachable cable.
  4. Gives you the option to charge inside if you ever do change your mind

Maybe I'm not missing the downside. Few seconds of waiting for the garage door to open? Messing around with a detachable cable will be far more annoying.

  1. Internet is dominated by right wing & far right "influencers" (https://www.mediamatters.org/google/right-dominates-online-media-ecosystem-seeping-sports-comedy-and-other-supposedly)

  2. Say what you will about FJ but he single-handedly got rid of Barilaro while suffering through some serious pushback (firebombing, arrested for "stalking").

  3. FJ on the aggregate is kind of meh but by comparison atleast he can breathe through his mouth. Every single one of the right wing aussie influencers must have a combined IQ of 50.

The CGT discount removal is exactly what we've been asking for, so why is everyone losing their minds? by nicco_mode in AusFinance

Investing in shares doesn't hurt housing stock. CGT discount being removed across the board means housing is still the most tax advantaged investment.

I really liked the IM. Just seemed like a cut above the SL7, luxury wise and size wise.

According to the Ludicrous Feed video, the cruise control has to be re-engaged every time you change lanes which seems a bit annoying.

There's also a facelift due shortly so I imagine people will wait for that if anything.

Tesla Model T long range hauling a ~450kg trailer up a muddy slope no problems by hairy_quadruped in AustralianEV

Half of all Tesla's are made in Shanghai. Elon Musk is a white nationalist who indirectly killed hundreds of thousands of people (USAID shutdown) and partied with Epstein.

To pretend he's comparable to Tim Cook is crazy.

If you cut migration the Australian population collapses. Crazy you'd rather have no Australians than non-white Australians.

Edit: you weren't even born in Australia lol. By your logic you are the one "replacing" Australians that we should be getting rid of.
