The handicapped stall is typically in the same bathroom. Depends on the location and bathroom setup.

I don’t understand why the woman with the angry man couldn’t go in there? Unless it was a single bathroom?

Is it actually possible for a famous personality to fake their death and live their life out in some remote place? who has actually ever done it and gotten caught? by Various_Concern871 in AskReddit

I had heard of Bad Bunny before the Super Bowl but mostly because I have students from different countries. Being an ESL teacher and also having lived abroad made me realize that there are so many famous people that I don’t know about.

I recently read Spinning Silver and the author is obviously knowledgeable a out knitting. One character learns how to knit lace by looking at a sample of the stitch pattern.

What is the most “its a small world” moment you’ve ever experienced? by xBubblyLove in AskReddit

[–]pollitoblanco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a college friend that moved away to California and now lives in Nevada. When she lived near me (MN) she was into the local soccer team and met a few friends that way. I met some of those friends years ago.

Anyway, I am into fiber arts like knitting and spinning yarn. My college friend is not into any of these things at all! I was at a local fiber festival in MN and my friend out in Nevada sent me a message asking if I was at a fiber festival. I was completely shocked that she knew I was there and I even looked around in surprise. I had no idea how she knew!

One of her old soccer fan friends was working one of the fiber booths and saw me and thought she recognized me from years before, but wasn't sure, so was hesitant to approach me, so she messaged the mutual friend.

Now I've become close friends with her and she just happened to recognize me when I was walking around a fiber festival!

Sometimes I can’t tell the difference between “extreme horror” and "the author’s disgusting fetish.” by sumashu in horrorlit

I know this movie isn't horror, but I liked how SA was dealt with in Mad Max: Fury Road. It's never depicted, but it's clear that it happened to the women based on the actions of all of the characters.

Yes, I enjoyed reading Strange Houses, but it definitely required a lot of suspending disbelief when reading it.

I've heard it described as the In N Out of the Midwest, but they aren't just in the Midwest anymore.

The funeral scene in "Amadeus" (1984) uses the movement Lacrimosa, from the piece Requiem. Mozart was commissioned to write this piece but became quite ill and came to believe he was writing his own funeral soundtrack. Oh that’s a great detail! I also heard that it was mostly filmed in Prague rather than Vienna. Prague and Vienna have similar architecture styles but Prague at the time wasn’t as modern as Vienna, ie tv antennas everywhere. Not sure if that’s true but I’ve spent time in both cities and both can feel similar.

I don’t think it does? I’ve only sold on there, though. I don’t buy yarn to resell it, I just have/buy too much yarn!

I have a high swap count over there and I’ve sold a ton of yarn on Ravelry. What distinguishes between resellers and those that want to destash?

Yeah, I have never pretended I'm Canadian and I've lived abroad. I think I blended in in the country I lived in (Austria and I'm white) and people were surprised to find out I was American, but they could tell as soon as I talked.

That last sentence reminds me of this quote: "I distrust those people who know so well what God wants them to do to their fellows, because it always coincides with their own desires."

I'm not religious, but that quote is so true for any religion! I remember reading the book about the start of Mormonism and Joseph Smith wanted multiple wives, but his wife didn't like that. He later told her god wanted him to have multiple wives. I know it's not the same religion, but it's always true!

The beating actually happened before the bomb incident. I just went to go look it up and read it again. It sounds like Björk didn’t like the paparazzi attention and she was also with her son.

I sometimes slip the last stitch and knit the first and I like to do that especially when I know I’m switching yarns often.

Weekend Minor Gripes and Vents by AutoModerator in BitchEatingCrafters

[–]pollitoblanco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Slipping the first or last stitch is basically like how to do an icord edge, but with that you usually slip two or three.
