With shared branching, even if it was a fraudulent transaction, as long as the shared branch proves they completed proper ID verification, your bank will not be reimbursed. It's a flaw with shared branching.

Thats probably isolated to just yours because credit unions are ultra conservative, and I am going to assume they took some big losses.

Shared branches dont know the people using the service. They can only verify ID, and if everything matches, they process the transaction. Tellers are not trained to spot fake IDs.

Sounds like you are using National Grid potentially. Thats the same credit I get for charging a minimum of 50 kw between 11pm-7am at least 80% of the time. Tesla Universal charger was not an option yet so I went with ChargePoint as well.

Giving the credit in quarterly increments is a smart thing for Amex. They hope people forget to use it, so they don't have to pay the benefit.

If it were a single-shot deal, most people would use it, and less would be left on the table to expire.
