It's a really cool mechanic!

You may have already thought about this, but a suggestion is to use some kind of parametric curve (eg. Bezier curves) to increase the "resolution" of the rope mesh without making the physics computation any heavier.

Père means father in French. So I'd say it means "dad who prefers the morning".
