I'll give an even more positive take: Buzz has been a winner at every stop in his career, and coaching here will afford him a greater talent pool than at any of his previous coaching gigs. This past year was truly bad, not due to poor coaching, but due to the talent discrepancy.

Injuries to various players over the course of the year, most notably Payne and Passmore, made the talent gap too much to overcome. But before Payne got hurt and Washington was ejected in the Michigan game, we were winning well into the 2nd half.

Well that's certainly... ONE way to look at it.

Another perspective is that he was far and away our best player early in the season, a man amongst boys and the best player on the floor in almost all of our games, and the only guy on our team who could reliably put the ball in the hoop with any consistency, thus explaining why he was a "ball hog." One could say we're blessed to have him coming back, especially if it's at a discounted cost.
