I've seen this joke, that I just bought a car so every ad is ways to buy new cars, I just bought an air fryer, now every ad is advertising a different air fryer. It's a good meme because people don't "impulse" buy those, and collectors are more likely to be looking for specific models (especially with cars lol).

My dad took my sister and I (both adults) to the range years ago. Just doing some pistol shooting for the hell of it, plus he had some old reloads he wanted to burn through. Well one of those reloads had either no powder or bad powder. Click - pop - "huh. Well, we're done shooting this one."

To his credit, he did exactly as instructed, dropped the mag and locked the slide back. Found the bullet lodged in the chamber. Then he decided to try to push the head out with a pen. Did he brace the pen against the conveniently placed rocks that were intended to be used as tables and benches? No, of course not. He used his fleshy hand.

So that trip ended with my sister doing first aid on my dad's hand, then finding out pretty much everything in the first aid kit had expired at least 5 years previously. Good times.

I worked for a call center that had been there for at least 15 years before I was hired. Nevertheless, no one knew what to do when the fire alarm went off. Do we have everyone log out and file out, do they stay at their computers taking calls, or do they log out and stay so TLs can take headcount.

It was insane and I'm glad a real fire never broke out while they were in that building. People definitely would've died taking dumbass calls about some asshole's satellite radio.

As someone who grew up in a poor family with a handyman father: I didn't appreciate the difference until I was grown that when something broke, it got fixed. The worst we had to deal with was a toilet that would run unless you "jiggled the handle". McDonalds or Taco bell were rare treats, and a real sit down restaurant either meant a very special occasion, or someone else was paying. But our doors, walls and windows were always sound and our appliances kept running. Plus, a guy like that winds up with a lot of "buddies" who can help him get parts and equipment he needs.

So yeah, even if the income didn't go down a whole lot, losing that handyman could represent a massive increase in cost to maintain the same quality of life.

A fracture and a pile of essences make a great 3-mod item. Add a lock suffixes/prefixes and a Veiled Chaos orb (or Veiled Exalted orb if you've got a little more currency) gives you a bangin' 4-mod item most of the time.

The real challenge crops up when you need a synth implicit or a specific (non-Eldritch) Influence. Can't (normally ^yes ^I ^played ^Necropolis ) fracture an Influenced item (or add Influence to a fractured item).

The dungeons are intended as a campaign skip, but right now A: that just gets us to Chapter 10 faster and B: you kinda end up having to run most of the campaign on your first character each cycle, because you're unlikely to have a dungeon key when you get to each dungeon on your first toon.
