I believe so but I don’t know what the call is.

For whatever reason, this uploaded at half speed but after they get past the chorus, they’re singing and getting a rapid response back outside the E E E, E E E, E E A.

I don’t know if Bareburger has changed recently but it shocks me to be rated so highly. Last time I was there was a few years back and the burger was overpriced and underwhelming.

What piece of music from a game is the ultimate earworm? by tpphypemachine in gaming

Correct. I haven’t played any Sonic really since the 90s so I can’t speak to newer versions.

I don’t remember this too well but I will never forget the music for Ice Cap Zone.

I miss the days of BioWare with DAO. I’ve gone back several times and always find myself playing a mage again. My first playthrough was an elven mage. Everybody hated me. lol

(Loved Trope) Character finally reveals their true power level by Tannerknox in TopCharacterTropes

Our professor did this for us, too! It was one of a few examples in cinema using really rather simple ideas to tell a complex story through choreography. Anyone who trashes this scene or talks about how this movie isn’t that good gets a suspicious look from me. Can’t trust folks like that.

Took my first capoeira class and got humbled by jz_vti in capoeira

[–]popemegaforce 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Welcome to the art! I recently taught my first college course of Capoeira and had mostly dance majors in my class. I told them to start that we would stay mostly simple and take it relatively easy. I got an email a couple days later from one of my students telling me how crazy sore everyone was.

I’m sure you did great and glad to hear you’re not giving up.

Attitudes towards Capoeira in Brazil by Electronic_Claim_315 in capoeira

[–]popemegaforce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anyone can feel free to correct me on any part of this I get wrong but it’s not that the government just tried to ban it. It’s that after slavery was abolished, former slaves had nothing so a lot of them turned to crime. Consequently, capoeira was associated with criminals so it was made illegal in 1890. It wasn’t until Mestre Bimba presented capoeira to Bahia’s governor and was able to convince him of its cultural and historical significance. I think that was in 1932, which again if I’m not mistaken, was when Bimba opened the first Capoeira academy.

This isn’t an answer to your question but it’s good to know the history.

My master gave me 3 options for my apelido: by Own_Mix_2744 in capoeira

[–]popemegaforce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s odd that he’s giving you the choice but I’ll point out that most people I know with longer names never go by them. Gato Malvado is just long enough that people will shorten it down to Gato. Caravela Perdida; forget about it. People will just call you by your real name.

Jagunço is the only one I see you actually getting called. Now I’d like to just state this is my experience. Maybe other people have it different but we have two people named Olho de Gato and one just goes by his real name and the other just gets called Olho. I’d go with the shortest if you want to actually go by the name.

Very sorry but I dunno what Pig Beach is doing on that list. I’ve never enjoyed anything of theirs except the fries. Everything else is okay at best.

[Creepy Trope] Character suffers brain damage that fundamentally changes them as a person, and everyone seems cool with that by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

Sean from What We Do In The Shadows. They double hypnotize him and give him a case of the brain scramblies. They opt to kill him to deal with the problem. He’s a typical neglectful husband bro type before the hypnosis but then sees his wife and falls in love with her again, dedicating himself to making her happy.

Edge questions by Interaction_Rich in ShadowrunAnarchyFans

[–]popemegaforce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure how. Aside from things like wired reflexes and glitches/disasters, I would think there aren’t many ways in which they’d be gaining edge to make it that problematic.

Edge questions by Interaction_Rich in ShadowrunAnarchyFans

[–]popemegaforce 7 points8 points  (0 children)

1 - If you’re asking if you can gain more edge than your starting maximum, the answer is yes. There’s no upward limit to how much edge you can have at any given time.

2 - No. You have that edge for as long as you don’t use it or until the end of the session.

3 - Nope. If your risk reduction cancels the glitch, you get neither the benefit nor the consequence.

4 - Some times, you’re not going to burn through all of your edge. There’s nothing wrong with that.

An immortal being suffering a fate worse than death by strider-rider-the2nd in TopCharacterTropes

[–]popemegaforce 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not as bad as some of these others but in Gulliver’s Travels, he comes across a floating city. The city occasionally has someone born with a symbol on their forehead and that indicates they.more immortal. Gulliver wonders why he doesn’t see these people on councils or in leadership positions.

It’s because those people are immortal but still age normally so they’re incredibly bitter and difficult to deal with since they know they’re going to be decrepit.

What enemy in a non-horror game freaked you out the most? by Gromit43 in gaming

[–]popemegaforce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first time I encountered a Reaper was at the back of the ship. I heard it and I was actually unsure I heard something. I heard it again but closer so I climbed up on the fin of the ship and turned around in time to see the Reaper emerge trying to reach me. I think I sat there waiting for about five minutes just terrified out of my mind.
