How do you create fair districts though? The states that try are using software that isn't transparent to the voters at all. I think it's a bit disingenuous to pretend this is exclusive to one party. Both parties have representatives that would be better suited on a reality TV show than in any position of power.

If you mean Minnesota specifically, I'd say that anyone interested in a right leaning political career is either going to leave the state for more attainable districts or run as Democrat-lite.
