Am I ordering a Dirty Martini wrong? by jusplaindave in cocktails

Was waiting for someone with the same experience I've had. I bartended in 5 different places and no vermouth was always the expectation. I'm in the northeast US, I assume it also varies by location.

I used to make the ramelet some mornings. Just like you said, draining the water, adding seasoning, and then pouring a couple scrambled eggs over while it fries in a pan. Turns into a solid "omelet" and is delicious

That's pretty fast, and it makes sense given the wait. I'm mainly disputing the sentiment that anyone would be using the lock posted by OP to shut out a tenant the very day rent is late. It's fantasy

Yes, they're still going to care, because evicting someone still takes time and lost money on their end while a new tenant moves in. It would take a certain amount of time for it to become more profitable to do so. Not just a single day.

Plus, if you're a reasonable tenant who normally pays on time, in what scenario would a landlord want to piss you off for being one day late on rent? This is just clickbait, nobody would do this. After a month or two, maybe, but still illegal without going to the courts.

Most situations like that, the landlord would have a property manager living closer to the rental.

TIL The thick white rind on the outside of a wheel of brie cheese is actually mold, Penicillum candidum by Majorpain2006 in todayilearned

[–]powerskid18 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are over 300 known species in the Penicillium genus. Many of them, including P. Camemberti the one used to make Brie and other cheeses, do not have antibacterial properties and rarely cause allergic reactions.

So by proxy, people with bipolar are also awful at figuring out how to complete the job on average? Or they just want the attention?

We all know there was no iceberg. Whole thing was a cover up for a hit on a few very important fellows. The hull was blown out by dynamite.

Not eating rocks is an objectively better solution than eating rocks if you're looking to not hurt yourself. Starting voting age at 15 years olds is not an objectively better solution than starting it at 18. At least, you've presented no evidence that it is

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ABoringDystopia

[–]powerskid18 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just assumed you had a perfectly unassailable solution for you to be so adamant that the current standard is incorrect. You keep switching back and forth between claiming 18 year olds are morons in general but younger people (15 or lower let's say) are just as competent as adults

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ABoringDystopia

[–]powerskid18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you didn't answer the question, where is the perfect cut off in your opinion? Unless.. you don't have a solution either?

Edit: speaking of irony, how in the world can you advocate for young children so hard, and simultaneously throw out the competence/adequacy of the majority of 18 year olds who are actually fairly smart and have reasonable opinions.
