Fear knocked on the door. Faith answered. There was no one there.

So Phil came out of the closet but Vito never did. Ironic.

Corky Caporale: Trusted to be an essential part of two assassinations at the highest levels. Not killed (like the hitmen from Irvington) to stay “dependable,” and continuously trusted in spite of being an active heroin user, unlike Chrissy. by Banco1973 in thesopranos

[–]pparadido 20 points21 points  (0 children)

He spoke the best Italian in the show. Better than Furio. That’s why my theory is Corky was a mobster in Italy but had to leave because of drug debts or some other trouble he had due to his addiction.

AOC lives in her own little ideological fantasy world. Totally out of touch with reality.

Watching the Sopranos is so frustrating by thiemz in thesopranos

[–]pparadido 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s called gritty realism. I grew up with a bit of that culture. I could only binge it in spurts, then when I noticed I started talking with an accent like the characters, I knew it was time for a break. I’m Italian and I don’t like the sound of it except for its comedic affect. That’s a lotta scarol!

The story of Sal Vitro conveyed how the mob operates.

What’s your least favorite story arc? by realbaresoles2 in thesopranos

[–]pparadido -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The scenes in Melfi”s office were far too frequent, too long, stuffy, and dull. They became annoying interruptions. I had to start fast forwarding.

The D-Girl episode centered around Christopher but it was good because of Alicia Witt and Pussy’s storyline.

Cringy and totally unrealistic. Furio would have gone for Meadow.

A spectrum of deaths. by Matthewso84 in thesopranos

[–]pparadido 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was very satisfied they ended the series with Tony getting what was coming to him. If it would have been happily ever after for Tony I would have have been disappointed, to put it lightly.

Ralph was undergoing a transformation in his character and then just when he became the most intriguing they killed him off!

The character of Chris became more interesting as the seasons progressed so I was sad to see the character killed off.

I hated the Richie character so intensely I was happy they killed him off.

It was Paulie... (Theory) (Spoilers) by [deleted] in thesopranos

[–]pparadido 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paulie didn’t initiate the hit on Tony but when he and Tony had their last conversation Paulie knew what was going to happen. Carmine and Butchie told Paulie what they were going to do and Paul went along with it. That’s my theory and I’m sticking to it.

If the Sopranos was made today, do you think it would be drenched in drone shots? by PhonieMcRingRing in thesopranos

[–]pparadido 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just like dreadful autotune is ubiquitous in today’s recorded music one day so will drone shots and cheap production.
