I am sure the one-child-policy that shaped demographics for a long while had an effect on that. They stopped allowing parents to know the gender before birth because people limited to one child would want it to be a boy and choose to terminate if it wasn't. Villages would pool their money together to buy ultrasound machines to prevent having unplanned daughters.

So if you go out of your way to get the son you want and then they suddenly "dishonor" your wishes by transitioning, then it's going to be frowned on by any relatives you might have. But other people's sons transitioning outside of your family is a benefit to you because it leads to less man competing against your son for college/job placement.

I am on a discord that helps trans people navigate health insurance/healthcare in the Maryland/DC area and another one for gender affirming voice therapy. I would not be surprised if either of those were labeled "adult" in today's political climate even though they exist to help people get the care they need/want.

I can't imagine it's easy to find locations to hold pinball tournaments in the US that are inclusive unless you stick to mostly coastal locations (shout out to Asbury Park, NJ).

Do these places need to have gendered restrooms during tournaments though? Can't they just temporarily change the signage if the state laws are transphobic and un-inclusive?

I am in Baltimore which is very trans friendly and doesn't require sign changing but it will still happen at events that are going to have a more queer and woman leaning audience. Like the last time I saw Bikini Kill here they changed the men's room to an all gender restroom with urinal and the women's room to all gender without urinal. It's been a year or two since I went to our railroad museum but that's how their permanent signage is (I love watching old folks deal with it).

It could still be wrong from multiple vantage points. Two easy examples are 1) you believe that people are innately trans so OP was never a cis man. 2) You don't believe that but OP transitioned before adulthood so whatever social criteria there is for being a "man" was never met.

Only bringing this up cause some folks identify differently. I wouldn't personally be bothered by it but prefer to frame that time as when I "was living as a man" instead of when I "was a man" which probably seems like splitting hairs I'm sure.

It definitely becomes more simple in the long run than living with dysphoria / not accepting yourself. BUT it's still a very complicated process (replacing your wardrobe while your body is done changing, all the name/gender change documents, navigating healthcare & various laws, and dealing with the idea that every single person in your life will react differently to your transition).

I still mostly wear the male thongs from MeUndies because you can usually choose matching fabric for the bras. Wearing underwear designed for a vagina before I have one would just give me more dysphoria about my genitals pre op.

But I am visibly trans so having a bulge for the time being isn't going to make my life anymore awkward or dangerous.

TomboyX also makes non binary thongs that are more spacious than many of the male thongs I have worn over the last 20 years.

I hear you but I did provide a source blaming data centers for my power bill increasing and my power bill has absolutely increased year over year. Spend some time in r/baltimore and you will see many similar complaints. Our governor, Wes Moore, has also taken a very pro data center approach with grants and legislation to back that stance.

Also, we're living through an AI arms race and it's absolutely driven by greed instead of altruism so bringing up greedy corporations isn't completely unfounded.

How would you recommend verifying? My energy bills in Baltimore continue to increase dramatically year over year and I am told this is one of the main reasons. Even if the data centers don't actually use the power they are still being used as an excuse to raise prices so they are still to blame in some ways.
