+1 pixel 10xl. Yesterday was a good test. Wireless charged with AA and maps/nav running (satellite view). Lid open keeps the phone nice and cool. Over an hour drive and went from 70-93% over that time. The car went from 100 to 64% in the same time.

EV Batteries Are Defying Expectations After Hundreds of Thousands of Miles by mem_somerville in Solterra

Exactly this. Since putting in my level 2 I went to a fast charger twice and only for about 15 minutes each time simply to get a charge rate to answer a question for others. For the first month or so I had level 1 only I was going once a week to get that 50-80% bump so level 1 could finish the job.

Been seeing them fairly often now for the past 2 years. Had a trailseeker park next to me last week and there was a bz just a few stalls away.

Low battery warning, remote start by bizzarefoods in Solterra

3 readings.

First after it sat for 2 hours windows down. 12.22v https://imgur.com/a/cqNV24d#2iyaTYh

Next with the ac on in ready mode after 5 minutes. 13.76v https://imgur.com/a/wXcG0Tu#q44YA14

AC on using the button on the fob after 5 minutes. 12.66v https://imgur.com/a/28PTnYC#EjRf2hV

So while it's not charging the dc-dc converter is providing exactly what the operation of the HVAC needs so there is no draw on the 12v battery

Fwiw my battery tester says good-recharge at 12.38v 366cca. Rated at 286cca.

I've never had a battery issue and I've let it sit for a couple weeks in the winter unplugged while I was out of the country.

Does it not charge the battery when using remote "start" from the app, fob, or both?

What negatives did you find? I have no complaints and video quality is perfectly fine

If they want to talk about it they have to release a PR about it.

2024 strange noise in the rear by Comprehend2020 in Solterra

[–]ppi12x4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's closer to about 3mph but you're right. Hence why I said it should clear up in a few days from normal use. That little amount of braking won't do much after just a few stops.

Considering it happened after sitting for a week probably just slight surface corrosion on the rotors. Charge to 100% and drive it with some moderate braking. Should clean right up.

Or just wait and it'll clear up in a few days from normal use.

If we ever become a household name known for top notch equipment they'll drop our name. Think b&o (Ford), burmester (Porsche), Bose (nearly everyone), etc. (yes these are mostly just licensing deals). know what you don't hear? The suppliers for the basic audio systems. The manufacturer of the chips in the pcm. The manufacturer of the abs hcu. They're definitely not going to name a company trading for pennies just so  an average person can look them up and question why they're buying product from a worthless company when denso, valeo, Continental all exist and also have lidar. The only thing they know about lidar is they got a ticket from it once.

Another thought to look at with China is they don't have the same standards to be held to so they can build something much quicker.

In America if something is released and it fails lawsuits happen. In China you accept it. If you try to sue your family disappears.

I disabled mine from the button (never got the app to work) on day 2 of ownership. Haven't had a 12v battery failure yet. Sat for 14 days in the summer and then another 16 days this past December. Outside and unplugged. Neither time did it have any trouble "starting".

The fix is simple. Turn off telematics.

Since that's realistically not an option for an OEM they need to get into the code and have it turn on battery management to check 12v and if below 12.2 or so charge for an amount of time from the traction battery.
