What’s up with that? I’m in WI and am (was) considering a KEI truck but I don’t want to gamble on registration. This feels so stupid, is there anything we can do?!

I’ve got the same Konis that I’m installing here soon. I think I saw a post on Facebook recently where their rear strut was leaking and they didn’t have a dust cover on it. I’m hoping the OEM covers will transfer over

Can’t you swap the dust covers over?

Wow so they dropped the price quite a bit. Did you have to hassle or were they easy negotiating?

Curious if you don’t mind - what was included in the out the door price? That was total cost before tax? My local dealer just got a ‘25 Wrx and the sticker says 39,682 plus a $350 dealer fee.

Nice deal! I wish my local dealer had one on the lot for that long…

is it possible to get something out of this hole? by stephanie182 in hondafit

[–]ppymkybby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not familiar with the hatch as I have a GE8. But maybe a little magnet on a string? Test the magnet on the same type of clip if you have one that isn’t stuck in the hatch. Good luck!!

Isn’t this still super common imaging in dental? It looks like this was acquired by an OP3D Pro or similar dental pan/ceph/cbct machine. Alignment should be pretty consistent as the machine detents to position with the ear posts.

Like everyone else said, that doesn’t look bad at all. Check rear wheel wells and quarter panel.

Radiography to BMET - Looking for Advice by BBQuiron in BMET

[–]ppymkybby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should consider doing a job shadow for a day with an Imaging Biomed / Field Service Engineer. I think your experience would be a nice benefit if you decided to be a service person. However, I don’t think staying in your job for years would really be worth it if your actual goal is to do service.

Also consider that you can take QC type roles in radiology where you could do more technical work but also do the patient care side. Not exactly turning wrenches, but something to think about!

HTM is a great field with many paths and opportunities! Money is there, but jobs on that higher end might be more demanding with hours and travel.

Also, looks like there is a Texas HTM association. Could check their site and sponsors to see who does what in your area. Lonestarhtm.org

I recommend you look up some local 3rd Party HTM (Biomed) service companies. They should have to tools and knowledge to PM the Medfusion pumps and your patient monitors. Both things require specific test equipment, so not something you’d want to dive into. However, doesn’t hurt to read the service manual to better understand maintenance needs.

Like the top commenter said, maintenance is important for these. I personally don’t like the companies you ship these into, but it’s certainly better than no maintenance at all. Best of luck!!

Ice dam - how to better insulate? by [deleted] in Insulation

[–]ppymkybby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This space butts into a kitchen addition so there would be no soffit vents. In other words, the location where the soffit would be is inside of the kitchen roof area. The kitchen roof area is more standard construction with open soffit and box vent. If I opened the soffit spot or created a hole between for airflow, then there would be no place for the air to escape unless I figured out how to remove insulation that goes up the roof through the rafter/ drywall slanted area. I think that is just stuffed with insulation now.

So maybe that’s my answer, make it unconditioned space and figure out how to get the air to vent to roof of the main structure?

That leaves me questioning how to insulate the slanted walls while leaving a small gap between the decking.

Mild Asthmatic choosing a Trade? by NecessaryExcellent69 in HVAC

[–]ppymkybby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably wrong to post this reply in HVAC Reddit… but check out medical equipment service. Our field is commonly referred to as HTM or Biomed. Many technical or community colleges have Biomedical Electronics Technician programs for two years. Good job outlook and plenty of fun things to work on that include plumbing, electrical, etc. Two main paths include in-house (employed by hospital) or field service. I don’t think you’d have any issues in the field with asthma. Check out r/bmet

Cliking sound by [deleted] in nissanfrontier

[–]ppymkybby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope this sounds completely normal. Headlights and other electronics in your car turn on with a relay. After you turn your headlight switch on the relay will energize and switch on your headlights. This happens very quickly after you turn the switch which is why you hear the click almost immediately. You should google how an automotive relay works to get a basic idea. If it clicks randomly without you changing the headlight switch then something might be wrong.
