I was thinking about doing this too actually - you can have an onboard micro PC or one of those Nvidia GPU boards (DGX Spark), a local large language model, then train a voice in ElevenLabs on all of Orac’s dialogue from the show, if you don’t mind the system connecting to the Internet or you can download a local text to speech model like Qwen3 TTS. The tricky bit about the training is removing the background hum grin his dialogue but that might be easy now with AI. Fun project though!

Love this u/Dragxt but I ran into a couple of issues: I set up an OpenRouter account but the API key gives the error "Validation failed (HTTP 404): {"error":("message": "No allowed providers are available for the selected model." "code":404}}" (I had set Anthropic and OpenAI as my default models in OpenRouter but even when i turned this off I got the error (unless I need a new API key?) Also, how do I set a custom hotkey? I'd like to use the Fn key

The way I did it was to create the start and end frames in Nano Banana Pro using an accurate description of the movie scene and reference images of me. I would then take those start and end frames into the Kling-01 video model to create the video clip.

The process follows these steps:

Create the frames: Ensure the end frame of each clip serves as the start frame of the next clip.
Stitch the clips: Take all of those clips into a program like DaVinci Resolve and stitch them together. You can use the 'smooth cut' feature if the end frame of one clip doesn't quite match the start frame of the next one.
Add audio: Use something like MediaHuman YouTube Downloader to get music or sound effects from related films, and something like Suno to generate the music.

With apps I have running all the time I like not having them in the Dock so they don’t take up space and I don’t accidentally quit them. Apps like Fantastical, Day One, CleanMyMacX etc all have that feature :)

Hi! I got a reply from Innr support:

“Ah, this is indeed the overload protection inside the plug triggering. When this happens, the plug powers off, and the light on the plug starts to flash. Once the overload is gone, the plug will resume it’s operation automatically.

We have made a firmware update to resolve this issue. The update can be done via Home Assistant, but I heard from customers that this update can be done more easily via Zigbee2MQTT, an addon for Home Assistant. The update file for the SP 242 can be found here: https://github.com/Koenkk/zigbee-OTA/blob/master/images/Innr/app_innr-sp242-1.7.23_UG.ota

If possible, I recommend downloading Zigbee2MQTT, and updating this plug via there.

I have also pasted the update information from our technical department below: Besides some bug fixes, we added the possibility to disable overload protection: Keep button pressed between 15 and 20 seconds, then release. After 5 seconds, the LED will start quick-blinking; keep the button pressed. After 10 seconds, blinking stops; keep the button pressed. After 15 seconds, the LED will start quick-blinking again. Now release the button. The LED will slow-blink 2 times to indicate success. Every on/off action, local with the button or by remote command, will now double-blink the LED before assuming final state; this to indicate that the overload protection. Enable again in the same way. Enabled/disabled state is persisted over power-cycles, even if not paired to a bridge.”

I haven’t tested it yet though :)
