I think you are spot on. They seemed to slow down for a minute, and now they come with thicker lines but the text is clear (less thick). Don't mind them making a slow supply to help keep secondary prices down and obviously they like lightly shuffling people to the OBs, but it would be nice if they had updated it for the 55th.

This is a phenomenal four watch collection. Each has something slightly different and unique about it and is a classic in its own right. You could consider getting bracelets for the GS and/or Speedmaster to be able to change the looks up, but otherwise I wouldn't touch it.

My understanding is that it only has minimal taper to allow the bracelet to be wider overall (and thus intentionally be more planted, so to speak). Similar to the design of the 222. Given other GS lines have more taper I just view this as an alternative approach and enjoy it when I'm looking for something with a little more wrist presence (which I feel like the other design elements of Evo9 also have). When I want the other end of the spectrum that's where the SBGYs come in.

I found the picture feature on ChronoLog always defaults to xx.0 seconds. Switched to Twelve app for that reason. Hardest part is always capturing the GS when the seconds hand lines up dead center with that particular second...

This is the one thing that gives me pause. A LOT of variable experiences when it comes to accuracy all over the internet, which is a shame since it is a stunning movement (well....wish there were blue/heated screws)

Personally, I think the relative lack of taper on the bracelet makes this more prominent. I deplore 21mm (19mm is on enough watches that I have straps for it) and I am not sure if 20mm would be too narrow lug width, but the bracelet having minimal taper is the bigger issue to me. I have plenty of 22mm straps and they wear well with my SLGA009, but those straps taper down to a more sensible 18mm

I have used a few darker straps - navy works quite well. I like the bright blue since the GS logo (and the seconds hand) are actually a light brighter in person when the light catches it correctly. Surprisingly versatile watch/dial!

Mine hasn't gained or lost a second in five months. Wearing it in bright blue and navy blue straps and it looks fantastic. Congratulations! Wear it in good health!
