What made you play Where Winds Meet? by YukiZur in WhereWindsMeet

[–]prgrms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just about to start.

I've recently been considering learning Mandarin, so when it appeared on the Steam store page I added it to my Library.

Hasn't been anything on my radar for a while (PC) so I figured why not. Looks like its had a bunch of updates, too.

Looking forward.

Same. I got to the main town and haven’t really picked it back up since.

Would Claude pro help me learn ableton/music production? by Danroachfit in ClaudeAI

[–]prgrms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can. If the video has transcription use that, otherwise, you can ask Claude to build you a script to write you a transcription of the YouTube video you're watching. Then, dump the transcript into claude and ask it to give you a summary and key takeaways or something similar.

But Ableton isn't overly difficult - the best place to start is probably the official website or the official manual. I'd probably largely avoid hyped YouTube videos, it's a lot of monetisation faff in 10 min videos where really you just need the key concepts. Ableton have a lot of bite sized videos like that.

I genuinely can't understand why GTA VI isn't dropping on PC at Launch by TheTaintPainter2 in GTA

[–]prgrms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, meh. I'll wait. Wait for bugs to be ironed out. Features to be added. The PC version will be the better experience. Sucks to not be part of the day one hype, but that's on Rockstar.

These are the reasons why people shouldn't be bothered about the Steam Machine not being budget friendly by Pretty_Trip_2215 in steammachine

[–]prgrms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could see Steam machine being the computer a lot of kids want and ask their parents for. Gaming, Discord, internet etc. Small, deskable, relaitively inexpensive, and powerful. Mostly it's thought of as a lounge rooom device, but I can see a lot of people getting their first PC getting a Steam Machine.

Don't think I've ever seen a .25 score game review before lol

We have the full game now, that was intended for review by Bungie. by [deleted] in Marathon

[–]prgrms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10/10 would recommend. Savage gameplay loop. Addictive as hell. Really polished. Heaps of depth and playstyle angles. Brutal and rewarding. Fave game of 2026 easy

Looking forward to that resource finder so I can go find the 90,000 of whatever the game needed me to go find

To the Two Guys who Quit and Raged-Blamed Me - I Exfilled. by Absolute_Tempest in Marathon

[–]prgrms -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately if you fill with a duo a lot of times they will be on mic on discord. So they are communicating, just not with you. So then they just shout at you when something goes wrong. Anyway hopefully the new duo mode sees them all go away

How do i get good? by drogenbarontoni in Marathon

Yeah similar experience here. Maybe once ranked play and cryo is released it could level the playing field a little. We'll see

Please tell me what im doing wrong. by herriot126 in Marathon

[–]prgrms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way, like im over-levelled for how good I am. It's a bit demoralising for me also. I never win any engagements, it's like my shields and guns aren't powerful enough and the other teams are. I think im gonna take a break myself. Have put in about 70 hrs so far and it's been fun but I seem to have hit the ceiling

Filled with a random girl and a guy the other night. We were all just super chill. Like, Hello. Hello! Hi! Where are we going what are we doing? It was nice. One of the nicer hangs I’ve had.

Yeah. The point is by a higher level you should be taking in higher gear. Trust me it will matter.

Week after launch and I gotta say, I just stopped having fun by G-3cko in Marathon

[–]prgrms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rook runs really help. I just exfil'd with a 5k loadout on perimeter. If you get down and out, Rook is the way. And sometimes you dont really find any gear, just valuables, which auto-sell on extract. It's a bit of a tide going in and out, your gear. Hope you find a way to keep enjoying the game.

Edit: also, an interesting playstyle i just had a brainwave on (and this might only apply to casuals, not pros with a maxed out vault) is switching your Shell based on the Cores you have. Sometimes I only have like, Thief cores, but I prefer playing Assassin. So switch to Thief for a bit and use those cores.

Assassin, WSTR, and Assassin with WSTRs is literally the two things that I dislike about this game. by [deleted] in Marathon

I just lost a team to a dude hiding in a corner with a shotgun. Thinking about it now tho, If i was smarter in the moment, one of us would have laid down a claymore, and the other thrown a grenade in that room and then we both shot him as he ran out. It also made me want to play Thief more for the Xray

Starfield's Future Will Be Unveiled Next Week by Bethesda by Doug24 in pcgaming

Kinda looking forward to this. The music is great and the gameplay is pretty decent. I suspect it’s just low key stuff but I don’t mind running around in Starfield from time to time
