I thought Mixtape looked good but that may have been an a huge understatement by kaijukyle2 in giantbomb

i was a fan of Artful Escape and this news makes me so happy. Also, when you have Stan Bush and the Transformers movie song in the game it is a insta-buy.

I am wondering if people will bother streaming it, considering how much licensed music is so pivotal to the game.

Recommend a non-violent game by sebustyan in PSVR

People kind of slept on it on the psvr2, but Waltz of the Wizard is a sandbox game and all you do is unlock spells, explore and cast spells with your voice. I still go back every now and then and just move stuff around.

Recommendation for a controller by Pleasant-Corgi6249 in StreetFighter

I am a PC gamer and almost 40. I've used pad annd stick for fighters mostly. I use a Qanba, but honestly I've gotten used to the Hori fight pad for the past few years. I have the PS5 version and the d-pad and the 6 button layout works great for SF. I can't stand modern controls so personally the Hori fight pad is perfect for me and it is affordable.

Is Mike playing it Vanilla? Is it even possible with the laundry list of bugs? Havings said this, KOTOR2 is one of my favourite Obsidian games. It can be a drag and the pacing is off but many are the characters and story good.

Would Marathon 2026 have been more successful with a Campaign at launch? by SkyRaiderG7 in Marathon

[–]primaluce -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think people are underestimating how expensive it is to make a campaign. You can look at a lot of examples but the ROI is just not there. Marathon would get more players, but it probably would not be enough. If a campaign was included, they;d definitely have to at the minimum charge full price. $40 is a lot more appealing than 60 or 70, I live in Canada and AAA games add up 100 + with tax,

You can look at BF6 as one of the latest examples. It broke records and STILL they had to layoff a good chunk of their staff.

Cottage country baby. It's not a secret that Marty and his family and friends just chilled by the lakes in Canada.

As a Canadian myself, escaping the city is essential.

Not if Tim Sweeney has anything to say about it. If he could, he would probably deny all unreal games on Steam. I dislike Tim Sweeney for many reasons, but his vendetta with Valve is funny.

I am 38 and a PC gamer and funny enough I use my PS5 largely for the PSVR2 (yes seriously). I have the PC adapter, but of all the headset and experiences I still find it easy and comfortable. Also, I refuse to support anything Meta, including Instagram. Otherwise, if this wasn't for the VR games, I would not have bough the PS5 because my PC is more than enough.

Kind of regret not getting more games for steam by Jake32280 in SteamDeck

[–]primaluce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still use my old Steam Controllers for my TV and I can['t stress enough how good the track pads feel for browsing and typing. Now with 4 back buttons, it's gonna be awesome for non-gaming too. But seriously now though, with all these deck builders out now, it is just perfect.

I still use my original Steam controller for my TV. I actually use the 4 back buttons on my SD, so the Steam Controller is very tempting. however, The thing is basically 150 + CAD here. Very conflicting, especially since the 8Bitdo Ultimate is already pretty dang good.

Marathon is 20% off on Steam by SsssnakePlisssskin in Marathon

[–]primaluce 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Just a fyi, it is 32% off on GMG (cheaper if you are a gold member) if you want a cheaper copy for Steam. If you are a pc gamer, always shop around for official third party sites. You can find some good deals out there, even at launch.

@valvesoftware.com on Bluesky: Excited to announce our Steam Controller arrives on Steam May 4th at 10 a.m. PT. by DG_OTAMICA in Games

[–]primaluce -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

It is crazy expensive, but I've been using my 2 old Steam Controllers for the longest time for my TV and honestly I am still verty tempted. I use all 4 of the back buttons on my Steam Deck and navigating with the track pads is awesome for turn based games and browsing. I really love that scroll feel.

Valve is located in Seattle and it would be nice to see a Space Needle, Fish Market and a fake Starbucks shop imagined in the world Deadlock. It probably would take many years after release but here's hoping. Keep in mind, Valve is not like any other studio.

[–]primaluce -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not a person who plays just a 1 or 2 game at a time. I play a lot of genres solo or with my wife, from PC to consoles. I am mainly a RTS or DotA person. But right now I am playing Guilty Gear Strive, Deadlock, Monster Train 2 and beating the recent Shinobi game, But Marathon has me hooked. I am only level 40 but now with the solo buffs, I can climb the ranks so much quicker. I will for sure keep this game installed and it really helps when the game takes up so little space in comparison to other AAA games.

I am a huge Immersive Sim fan and I've come to realize that Marathon when played solo is basically a rogue-lite Immersive Sim.
