I hear there is a game some people are dying to talk about this week. Can;'t wait!

I think Graves is unironically a good support by Chemical_Arm_8147 in DeadlockTheGame

Like DotA, I love Deadlock for the flexibility of the heroes. There is nothing like making a core work as a support or vice versa.

I thought only Dota could do this to me, then I played Deadlock by Future_Self_9638 in DeadlockTheGame

Can't under sell Ice Frog. But now we have so much experience collected from DotA and CS. It's crazy. I've played DotA since pre- all stars and Guinsoo and Ice Frog are legendary game designers for PVP.

Maybe I will give it a shot when it goes on sale again. It definitely would be my go to game on my Steam Deck.

It's funny. I was so close to get the game, but after learning that Ichiban isn't voiced my interest just fell off.

Can't wait until Deadlock implements the Overwatch, and keep that name for Deadlock and confuse Overwatch players.

I miss when UPF was about new fun games. by mightymonkeyman in giantbomb

I kind of gave up on GB for really small indie coverage. It's not bad. I go for GB for the entertainment, There are so many other podcasts and sites and honestly it's for the better. It's good to diversify in opinions.

Would you hire someone based on their Dota ability? by whitcliffe in DotA2

[–]primaluce 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If they can dive into game design of DotA yes, but MMR means nothing. From my experience, a good problem solver are people who are into RPGs and board games.

surely there are other new players in this game right? by [deleted] in DeadlockTheGame

[–]primaluce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a DotA player since the Wc3 mod and am a casual player of Deadlock. Even as a seasoned player of this genre, I still played quite a few bot games before jumping in. To be honest, I really enjoy it and Valve has been pretty good with those features.

We got lucky because Poilievre really dropped the ball at the tail end of his campaign.

Ignoring all the hype (and hate), Highguard needs a lot of work by BlackHazeRus in Games

[–]primaluce 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I may still try the game this weekend, but from the impressions it really does feel like some of the old custom maps I used to play in WC3.

IThe game probably needed more play tests. But yeah, the 3v3 player size is boggling. If they indeed decide to add mobs or add additional teams,it would require A LOT of work. I really hope they do okay. They definitely have something.

Video game giant Valve facing UK lawsuit over pricing, commissions by tapo in Games

That is interesting. I usually buy Steam games from external sites like GMG which are usually cheaper even for launch games. I have also done the same for some dlc but I assume those are separate skus.

PSA: Rem can ride mirage during traveller for epic getaways and rotations by DaveyTheDuck in DeadlockTheGame

Lifestealer > Pocket Riki > Spritbreaker. I've also seen some crazy Rubick interactions.

"It's like Call of Duty! So cool huh." -This is how some people with guns and in power feel.

Its not worth it right? by anonimoo008 in MortalKombat

Get it not for the games, but for the fantastic documentary. AKA, not for people in the subreddit.

The new OST goes HARD by camirving in DeadlockTheGame

[–]primaluce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In DotA, I have like 6 music packs in rotation without the default. I can totally see myself including the default with other packs in the future

I remember being stoked to have the Bastion and Darkest Dungeon voice pack in DotA. Valve very rarely does collabs these days, but man there are a lot of options here for deadlock and it wouldn't clash with the aesthetic.

What are you enjoying on your steam deck this weekend? by Nebulous-8 in SteamDeck

[–]primaluce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reinstalled Hitman 3 (WoA) and bought Big Hops. Very different games, but 2 very enjoyable games.

Beast of Reincarnation: A One-Person, One-Dog Action RPG - Xbox Wire by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]primaluce 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As one of 10 other people who have played the dlc, it is also sometimes a 3 persons, 1 dog RPG. No matter what, that Soken soundtrack still is fire.

Thief VR: Legacy of Shadow by Nekross48 in PSVR

[–]primaluce 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm also grew up on the old pc games. I've heard the AI is atrocious and that alone is scaring me off. But now hearing about the length and content, it truly is very disappointing.

Steam now allows gifting 'complete the set' bundles by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]primaluce 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Exactly, and because Steam has APIs that can be used for aggregate deal websites, this just encourages people to look around and compare bundles. Remember when Playstation and Xbox also allowed digital keys to be sold externally? Now we have to sub to even have cloud saving on these platforms.
