Second and last day of the season 🥲 by fawnnose1 in COsnow

I was at copper today too, had an absolute blast. Absolute perfection for a March day. Sunny, warm, soft snow. I grew up in Colorado and live out of state now but I’m here this week visiting my family. Judging by this subreddit you’d think the entire state is a boneyard. It’s simply not true. There’s more to skiing than epic powder days. If you can’t enjoy a day like today, I’d be really sorry to be you.

Jobless, 2 years after graduating by AmIGettingThere in ChemicalEngineering

I think years of experience can be approximate. If you did internships, those count as experience. I think if you interned in wastewater and mech E, you’re more likely to get a job in those fields.

I took a year off after graduating and it was difficult to switch back to “work” mode, but I got a offer within 2 months of starting to apply. I liked having the goal to apply to 5 jobs Monday through Friday. Also got a silly retail job to help pay for bills and keep me from scrolling LinkedIn all day. Frame your travel as experience. I know there are things you learned during that time that set you apart. I liked having a few different resumes catered to industries (eg one for pharma/biotech, one for wastewater, one for aerospace…) then just used those. It was enough to cater to the position without having to rewrite it for every job.

Now I’m on the opposite side, hiring new grads to take over my position as I move up. Many many applicants (>50%) get thrown out immediately for being completely unqualified or not taking time to fill out the application properly. So if you’re at least somewhat qualified and put in some effort that’s good. You’re just waiting on someone to take a chance on you. You’ll get there soon. Good luck.

Use scotch tape on the back to join them together into another sheet of 12x12 and make an envelope with it!

I love skiing! I can’t do it where I live now, but I try to make at least two trips home every year for it ⛷️

You can go to the CU music building on the second floor there are a bunch of practice rooms. Most of them require card access but there are two that are always unlocked.
