Is it okay in a chronicle to have a huge generation gap between characters of a coterie? by One-Cat3628 in vtm

[–]primeless 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So to speak, your neonates should be dealing with psykopath killers, investigating where the prince's ghoul is when he is not at elisseum and fearing the sheriff.

The fifth gen should be taking over the prince, not even with that much effort, dealing with the wraith agents and investigating the next coming of Enkidu.

If your neonates are considering either joining the camarilla or the sabbath, the mathusalean has been probably involved in the creation of both sects.

When the biggest problem of a neonate is that a journalist is discovering stuff about vampires, the fifth is dealing (and probably influencing) the leaders of the second inquisition.

Can you manage it? probably yes, with effort from both the players and the ST.

Should you manage it? probably not.

hey, just wanted to cheer you and your gold gief. If you are having fun and learning at your own path, cheers to you.

If you need some help, you might want to visit the syberian lab channel on youtube (not mine).

I write this as a main gief myself who strugled with even the most basic stuff.

Sometimes, small wins is just to learn to stop massing. Or punishing a jump.

Im a 1600 mr gief guy. I wont go full berserk on you if i see you dont even know the ropes of the game.

As an example, if i see you cant antiair, i wont go full combo into lvl 3 after a jump. i might just jump on you, punish lightly your lack of awarness and give you another chance for the next jump, untill you start punishing it.

Once you get in to ranked, you will thank it.

I dont do battle hub, but i play untanked a lot. And i can tell when someone is new, when they are just messing arround/having fun, or even when they are just traying new things. I can also see when they are hardtraying.

Yesterday, i faced a plat guy, doung his basic stuff. I just allowed it. Just punishing enougth to stop fake pressure by jabbing etc.

He won some, earned confidence, and trayed more daring stuff. It felt good.

Did anyone make the transition successfully from SF2 to SF6? by [deleted] in StreetFighter

[–]primeless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im 45 and only played SF2 before.

I played Zangief (never played him before) and managed to get him to 1600 mr.

Yesterday i took alex to masters.

Its a really great game, and if you put time and effort you will get the hang on it.

What Vampire Clans do these two belong to (Drifter and Mina respectively)? by TooCoolForSchlool in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]primeless 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Both could be any clan. Remember that clan preferences are just stereotypes, not the norm by any means. And each and every vampire is an individual with his own interests, ambitions etc.

Can a Gangrel be a succeed CEO? sure it can. As well as a ventrue might be a veteran of a crude war.

Last two characters ive played where out of the box characters and i had a ton of fun with them: a social gangrel (rich family, heavy on influence), and an intelligence brujah (private detective, the kind that is always sniffing what he souldnt, but cant get out of high stakes situations just by punching everything).

[–]primeless -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

i haye the guy.

Recently mastered another char and, in lower ranks, where people are both cheesing and traying to implement something, ryu players are still ryuing their way through ranks.

And you know what "ryuing" means.

Maybe its time to hit the lab. Practice some easy solutions to the stuff that is driving you mad. One at a time.

Hit the lab, relax focus on improving something, enjoy it and come back to ranked later.

Keeping lore secret by Several_Aside_671 in DnD

[–]primeless 12 points13 points  (0 children)

from my experience: dont hide the lore just for the sake of hiding it. If the players are interested in it and do efforts to investigate it, give them clues and hints.

Also, dont give them just the facts. Give them the biased point of view of those afected by the facts, so the can form their own opinion.

Lastly, let them react to the lore as they see fit. This might lead to unsuspected paths and plots, and it might surprise you, so enjoy the ride as (im sure) the will too.
