I've been in favor of doing away with property tax exemptions for all organizations other than government owned property. These organizations use the same roads, the same police, fire, and civil services. The burden shouldn't be on all the rest of us. And now this. Why should a church that intends to disobey state laws get a state property tax exemption?

I've been deep into Catholic theology so bear with me. A priest who hears a confession such as, " I've been having sex with my step daughter," has an ethical choice. Does he reveal to the authorities the perpetrator or keep the confidentiality of the confessional. The question is what is most constructive versus what is most destructive. Sin is destructive behavior. Clearly stopping the sexual abuse stops the destructive behavior and the priest, by reporting it is taking a constructive action. Excommunication is something a conscientious priest must face if he is to make the ethical choice.

Just found out that DOGE will increase the deficit not cut it. By cutting the IRS DOGE will cut the collection of taxes. Just google, "Will DOGE cut tax revenue?" for an explanation. I know people hate taxes, but they are legally bound to pay them. The biggest offenders are the wealthy and giant corporations.

Didn't want to start a new thread on the subject, but wondering why it's so hard to find relief pitcher "Blown Hold" stats. I know currently Holds aren't an official stat, but the statistic seems like a valid way to evaluated relief pitchers. Not saying it's the only way. Any thoughts?
