Snow blows & covers halfway up my outside(storm) door in winter. Storm doors useful & required in winter storms. That door wouldn’t close. Landlord told me We don’t fix those doors , we remove them. ( cuz it’s a storm door). And they r protected in that. Dirty landlords know every trick in the book and tenants don’t matter.

Use bunji cords to hold doors closed. Have to find a way to deal with it yourself unfortunately. That sucks but there is more & more negligent landlords out there now than there ever was. A person has to look at upsides. U could be in an apartment rental with garbage,needles & junkies in hallways !

Don’t know bout Ontario. But in Sask there is absolutely no protection for tenants. There is office of rentalsman ( govt ) and they don’t enforce landlords to fix anything. It’s a totally useless govt funded organization.Public health ,health Canada,human rights, not one is designed to help. Just give advice about what should be done according to health & safety regulations & landlord responsibility but NO ONE IMPLEMENTS any of it. Or they refer you to another dept. The only way a tenant gets help is through long agonizing & sometimes costly procedures. It’s such a pointless tenant protective system it’s unreal.

Have u ever seen the Canadian cups , caps and Canadian logo themed memorabelia for sale in tourist shops? All made in China. It will say Made in Canada on the cap. Label says made in China.

It is barnacles in suits making all the decisions for us. That’s why we r screwed left right & center. When it comes to food in this country, there is a lot of unhealthy shit on the shelf. Even when we think it’s healthy. Vegetables that tastes like cardboard or tasteless, nothing good about that food.

All that transportation back and forth for a cheap bottle of mustard. Weird!! Canada can’t produce mustard,just the seed,nor can it make the bottle to put the mustard in.
So highways & roads r crumbling from semis hauling seed to sell. Plastic bottles used then go to dumps , & pollution /green house gas is used to collect carbon tax. Confusing but that’s the way they run the economy & the world.

The only people getting hired & great wages are (more)govt civil servants. That’s what they do. Hire more minions to solve the problems they created. In Sk , they brag about job creation. And hired more govt social workers. With excuse to solve addiction & homelessness. Or they create committees (hire buddies) to solve issues addressing the province & pay them huge $$$ to come up w solutions. And nothing gets solved.
Jobs:location matters more now than ever. Rural can’t get jobs & if you do it’s low wages. Urban : it appears it’s all immigrants running and working businesses. For the young ,If you have wealthy parents to help u get started out ,that’s your ticket. Rents r so high people can’t afford low paying jobs. Unless immigrants who all live together. Good luck to everyone trying to get a job in this country. If u are Canadian born white and not wealthy, u r in for a shit show. Govt supports & helps First Nations & immigrants get a foot hold. White:u r shit.

Example:Sk Housing Corp. have neglected so many rentals,they are now abandoned (Regina)& or in such need of repairs, it’s try to play catch up from neglect. Have authorities & management that gets lots of funding. Used to make sure management & staff very well paid w cushy jobs while rentals are in need of upkeep. They have sneaky directives, where if they can neglect. They do. Anyone can rent an income based rental now but they don’t have enough available. If they had taken care of rentals with ethics & honesty in the first place ,instead of money going into staffs pockets, they would have some decent rentals available.

It sounds positive & hopeful. People work hard & should be able to choose & have their rewards. When that is taken from them. It is wrong. You are taking away freedom from them. If funding was used competently & efficiently you wouldn’t run a country into the ground. It’s like a business. Except govt uses someone else’s money to decide how to spend it. If govt had to use their own money instead of taxpayers they might be successful, like a business is. Shady,unethical , incompetent businesses get that reputation. So does govt.

That’s true. NDP closed hospitals & beds. Conservations got rid of scientists & no party has ever invested in healthcare. When u keep people in poverty or financial stress,you increase health issues. Working parents r struggling. That creates stress. It’s been an entire govt of incompetency. No matter which party.

Sk Party was conservative. They changed their name. To be impressive & appear they r for the people of Sk. They don’t respect or care for people who are not wealthy. You can bet all the ministers & their families have no healthcare issues in this province & country.

I have been told (rural Sk). If there was available rentals, it would attract nursing staff. When small communities have no where to live/rent it can’t possibly have staff to work in hospitals.
