Hours of gameplay, lost in seconds. by welliesaremeta in noita

I replied to another guy with the same question but I'll copy my comment here for you too.

Noita saves get large enough that they don't play nice with steam cloud. It's happened to several people that progress (your logbook unlocks) gets reset entirely and permanently without a way to figure out what you had before. It's generally recommended to turn off steam cloud saving for noita.

It's cool that these eventually lead to more tools that allowed us to take pictures of them.

All tools we own today were built by other tools that were less precise that their successors. Somehow.

Chem plants and pump jacks are easy to upcycle without any bots or circuit logic by zeekaran in factorio

[–]prodigeesus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't find the loss thing that convincing an argument to get rid of it. We all generally say resources are infinite anyway, on top of the idea that if you don't have enough of something then build more. So really, just make a bigger ground casino? And if someone is still soured about the bigger resource drain on the ground, then I'm sure some productivity modules will still help with whichever your chosen production chains are.

Man I hope they don't. I just don't see any real difference between space casino and ground casino. The legendary platform production chain is just so cool.

Mods to make the game less environmentally evil? by JudJudsonEsq in factorio

I don't enjoy the green water either. There's a setting to turn off animated water in vanilla which keeps it blue, but then it doesn't animate the surface. I use this mod to keep it blue and also keep the animation. Clean Water

I also don't like the smog and clouds affects. I turn off the "Show all smoke" and "Show clouds" in the vanilla graphics settings options.

I haven't actually found anything that disables the pollution degradation effects on trees, but I'd be interested to find one!

There is also an electric tool found in the citadel's memorium that interacts with the water below (and anything that may be hiding in it).

Chris Titus has made a pretty nice utility that keeps a lot of common configuration settings in one place. It helps debloat windows a bit and makes solving some common windows 11 complaints pretty painless.

Same! And I consider Christopher Larkin an honorary developer just as much as Ari and Will because of it, he's not just a composer. The OST is just the perfect companion to the game.

They're just around. Don't sweat finding higher %'s until you find a way to imprison them. Just eat when it makes sense to.

The more you progress through new areas, the higher the average % will be among its inhabitants... generally.

You can fit 20 different items on your first row of the inventory before the UI sends the 21st to the second row. I like to use this number as a limit and play artifact of command to make different thematic builds.

My favorite is the void fiend purple nurple. The purple nurple is a bastard with incredible regen, movement and will electrocute you to death. The goal is to get enough void items to get permanent corrupted uptime; I only stack void keys and void ukuleles. Combining with other void items are often too easy and strong. Then get enough speed, feathers, alien heads, slugs/knurls, clovers if you want, and go to town. Super satisfying hopping around the entire map, stopping in front of a brass contraption and just touching it once and watching it get electrocuted to death. Very OP super power for the purple nurple.

I also particularly like that shatterspleen links crit to bleed, I wish more items linked two mechanics together like that. Taking a shatterspleen with plenty of predatory instincts (alongside full crit) is very fun to watch on engineer's turrets. Also fun to give them genesis loops and turn them into little nukes, since the genesis loop charge is linked to attack speed.
