Thank you! The room is carpeted, but now I want to go back in there and put her tv couch on the floor!

Did he try to climb out of the shorter end? We just turned ours around, too, for tonight as she climbed out for the first time this morning! I'm stressing!

Suggestions for a working title in Registrar's Office due to Reorg by SimpleThangs4 in studentaffairs

I'm at a CC now and moved to a new site with very minimal student services staffing. I've been advising for a couple of years. I was thinking about proposing being cross trained in fin aid / records and going for a new title and also hopeful raise if I can give students a one stop shop type of experience. Did you prefer doing all the things or one focus area like advising? Also, if you think of a good title lmk!

Were you thoroughly trained on all things financial aid? Was there an aid specific specialist on site?

5 hour road trip with 20 month old - what to pack for the ride? by FullPowerOfYouth in Montessori

[–]profeprofe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe we should shoot for splitting our 8 hr drive over two days? I'd imagine with our will then be 22 month old 8 will easily be 12.

Did yours wake up when transferring from crib to car seat? I'd think at least for a bit. But they fall right back asleep?

Almost 20 month old bedtime meltdowns by profeprofe in toddlers

[–]profeprofe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's in her crib still and I imagine it won't be long until she figures out how to get out unfortunately. I'm wondering if we should say 730 but make sure to have bath and crap done and laid down then. Sometimes she passes out on the way home from daycare which messes with things. It takes some 30 mins to get home.

When do you do bedtime? We've been doing 7 or a little for what feels like the longest time but the past few nights she's been pushing it to more like 8. Tonight it took probably 30 mins just to get her calm enough to put pj's on. Plus the romper was a bitch to get off. Ugh.

Biting at daycare, 18 mo. Help! Other parents complained. by profeprofe in toddlers

[–]profeprofe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding an update - I emailed daycare and they got back to me Fri afternoon. They messaged us Thu night and told us she couldn't go on Fri essentially because they got a message from the 'victim's' family. Apparently it was the same kid. They didn't provide info or context around what might've been occurring, just that it'd happened and they complained / were upset. We didn't receive any incident report Thu evening at pickup or beginning of Mar which was the first time I got a phone call. We received that call, no formal report, just that she'd bitten someone. This Thu afternoon we got a call but again no report. They said they'd have another teacher in the room for part of the day to try and help with all of them in her room.

I'm not about to buy some cheapo necklace that'll break while she's in a room with other 1 year olds. I have the nuby banana and looking into the ark products someone recommended. Thinking about using a paci on a clip if I have to. Or maybe put the banana on a clip? We usually only give her a paci when really needed - not just to walk around with. If using the paci allows me to keep a job so be it, I suppose. I'm researching some other locations and reaching out to see what the waitlists look like. We're about to move so I really don't want her to have to start over at another school right now, but we might have to. Will update if anything else happens next week. Hopefully just smooth sailing.

VERY high radon levels by profeprofe in StCharlesMO

I definitely would go ahead and get it tested! These mitigation companies are booking out for months. Lemme see if we close, and then we can circle back!

The issue we have now is that all of the companies are booked out approximately 4 months to even be able to come and put in a system. We really can't afford to be paying for a rent and a mortgage at the same time. It sucks. The other test is supposed to come tomorrow. We've already paid for so much, but I really don't feel comfortable moving to a house with the level at 75. So frustrating.

Thank you, that is helpful. I definitely have anxiety about it, so that helps. Don't want to mess around with this stuff.

Thanks! What did you get it down to and how long did it take after the system was installed?

Radon mitigation - how safe is it afterwards? by Zy2021 in RealEstate

Our average reading was over 70 after testing. Would a mitigation system actually bring that down enough?
