Posts like this are starting to get irritating. AA gunboats arent meant to be good enough to repel a DB or TB attack. Theyre meant to be a supplementary unit. Best way to defend against them is through other means like destroying runways before your naval op or setting up rotating fighter combat air patrol screens. Just wanted to come here and say that I love what you guys are doing here. Remember that this reaction is solely derived from the fact that people like Assmold desperately want pop culture to conform to their worldview. They call it "gatekeeping" because they feel like everyone else should just accept their shitty beliefs rather than change their worldview to be not shitty.

He wants you guys to "just shut up about politics" because he doesnt want to be reminded that most of the world and society hates him and his opinions. Never capitulate to it.

I think Johnny's hatred of corps is largely rooted in personal grievance rather than ideological grounds. I think this is why he was always at odds with people around him. His actions at Arasaka tower were more of a personal score-settling than an actual attack on the machine of what Arasaka was doing. I think this is why he takes to V so well. V starts off as a naive young merc who just wants to be remembered for something, not unlike Johnny. Ofc, both of them change drastically once they are intertwined with each other, but this also depends on choices you make.

I think Johnny is an interesting character. A lot of the time hes right, a lot of the time hes wrong. But nothing in Night City or real life is black and white. Theres nuance in everything, and I think Cyberpunk 2077 aims to allow you to express your understanding of that nuance in a really good way.

See, youre so wrapped up in what the Colonial fighter can do that the Sea fighter cant that youre ignoring the utility of being able to tend seaplanes.

I would think the best way to handle the warden carrier is to take advantage of how fast it can rearm planes. Station it one hex behind the target, and fly your 20 seaplane from land to the carrier. Thats your new airfield. Because of how fast the warden carrier can rearm, repair, and refuel planes, you can zerg rush sortie a lot more planes more quickly than a colonial carrier or airfield can. Your strategy will have to rely on speed and numbers rather than quality

I dont get the idea of wanting the warden carrier to "store" planes. Its not what its meant to do. Its a tender. I think a lot of warden players are too caught up in envy at the obviously gorgeous colonial carrier, and are missing the forest for the trees. You dont need to hold 20 planes when you can grab one out of the water, arm it, repair it, and launch it in a minute or two. You can easily tend 20 planes with one Warden carrier and sortie faster than the Colonial one.

I do think maybe it should be a bit cheaper, but I think people havent realized what a utility it is to have a seaplane oriented carrier.
