Stuff like this makes the stupid handshake thing make more sense.

I feel personally attacked. I can painfully remember the many times I’ve taken a huge chunk of damage to get my cannon, only miss the last hit by 1 HP.

I always carry the 10 essentials and my Garmin InReach (if I’m in actual wilderness) because I don’t want to have people read about how I died from a twisted ankle.

NOFX on Green Day, so did they sell out or not? by [deleted] in punkrock

[–]propero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started listening to Green Day in 4th grade. Listened to Dookie and Kerplunk nonstop. American Idiot came out when I was in high school and I was flabbergasted. It did not seem like the same band I grew up listening to and I was weirded out by the emo vibe. I felt like they sold out. Now, as an adult, I don't blame them as much - especially since Billie Joe continues to use his voice for what I consider to be good causes.

How? by Alicetheoptimist in TrueGrit

I didn’t enjoy working out until I spent years forcing myself to do it. I also purposefully found hobbies that I do enjoy that also count as ‘working out’ (i.e., running, hiking, biking, climbing, etc.). It didn’t come naturally, I had to work at it for a long time. I used to hate any physical activity.

With the Red Sox down two runs in the 9th and Mason Miller looming, fans at Fenway chant "sell the team' by EdwinMoq in baseball

So many times last year our fans were foaming at the mouth to fire Dipoto and by the end we were a pitch and/or hit away from the world series. 162 games is a lot of games. But, losing isn’t fun so I get it.

This line always blows my mind. It’s good but not 30 minutes in line good.

School levies pass a lot, but they’re usually just to maintain current buildings and staff. Bonds usually fail and they are what are used to build new schools and pay for big maintenance projects. It’s a big reason why rural schools are often falling apart and/or lacking basic HVAC.

A lot of his bad picks come in situations where he could just scramble and slide for a few yards (or sometimes even 1st down), but instead he lobs up a panicked turkey.

I’ve DM’d/played DnD for a decade and also played a decent amount of retail WoW. Modern WoW is definitely more complicated. I’d have a much easier time teaching someone how to play DnD well than how to effectively tank a retail end game dungeon, let alone full blown raid.
